MrBlueGuy 1,552
I will start:BPL: winner if it stays as it is atm, but if City sign Pogba/Kevin or basically any top player they will be favorite again, likewise with MU if they sign Otamendi, Schneiderlin or RamosFA Cup: Possibly winner unless we get City in the last 16 again like last yearCapital One: Semi final, I think Liverpool/MU/Arsenal will take it a lot more serious this year and we won't win it againCL: As it stands atm, semi final. However a miracle aka 2012 again+master class bus parking against Barcelona/Bayern/Real could see us triumph like Inter did in 2010What do you guys think? where do you think we will finish? Pizy 18,948
I think that going into the season, regardless of who our rivals sign, we'd have to be considered favorites. We have the best manager, a group of players that know what it takes to win it all, and our team is totally settled. All of our rivals' new players will take time to settle (Di Maria and Özil are two high profile examples of world class players who took a long time to settle) and get on the same page as their managers. DYC. 7,542
You should fix the title.1.League champions.2.Don't think this is a CL winning team tbh. But there is one great positive though. Bayern, Real and Barca are the last three winners of the CL so it's possibly 'someone else's turn'. Barca is the only team to win the CL within three years in the current era, with three wins between 2006-2011. Chelsea's win wasn't too long ago but that was all so surreal. And then there's the Mourinho factor, who will be looking to win it again. But I think some added quality will be needed. City, PSG, Juventus, Atletico will all be burning to win it as well.3. FA Cup would be nice, but football is all about cycles. After winning it four times in the space of just six seasons, it's possible that trophy will escape Chelsea for a while. CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
CS: Win on penalties and then have arsenal fans tell us all season how we didn't deserve it (and that's the way we like it!)PL: Winners, but I expect the margins to be a lot finer this season. MU 2nd (if they sign Ramos) Arse 3rd, and City 4th.COC: We retain it, fairly easily.UCL: I think we will reach the semis or the final, depending on when we draw Barca. After that, it's down to luck.FA Cup: We knock out Arsenal but we don't win it.Treble.Diego GB, Eden POTY, RLC YPOTY (thanks to a little English advantage), and Courtois golden glove.Biggest surprise: Crystal Palace next season, it looks like they just beat Tottenham to Cabaye. They've got a great little squad going there, I reckon they're destined for an EL spot.

However a miracle aka 2012 again+master class bus parking against Barcelona/Bayern/Real could see us triumph like Inter did in 2010What do you guys think? where do you think we will finish?Bringing new players even if top ones means little. At least when you have Pellegrini as your manager. City right now has more problems than solutions. Their ageing squad is one. Their key players in Yaya and Kompany have become more liability than not. Even if they bring Pogba/Kevin/Sterling, I wouldnt worry that much. But I would if Kompany, Yaya get back to their best, and Mangala improves alot.United I think will come back sooner than later, but next season, they wont be better than us. Its not so much if they bring one or two world class players, because they need their team to click first, catch rhytm and their current team, plus add few new players like Darmian, Schweini etc, it will take some time to fit in.Honestly, if Arsenal keeps this team, they need maybe just one midfielder or striker and they will be most dangerous for us. both manchesters are in big transitions, and it took us from 2010 to 2013 to actualy make a decent team and two more years to complete it. And we are not done yet.We on other hand have team that has been playing together for quite some time now, but its not old at all. People usualy dont see we have, apart from Terry and Iva, rest of the squad that still has 3-4 years of top football at least. Some like Eden, Azpi, Oscar, Tibo even more. Johnnyeye 7,510
This is my view on the subject:Community Shield: Winners, it will be a difficult match, but we can beat the gunners, let´s show them we mean business before the league starts and have the psychological edge over them.PL: Champions, i hope we can maintain the same consistency and philosophy as last season and retain the title, it will be really difficult as other teams are strenghtening as well, but let´s lay down an early marker and set the tone for the rest of the season, we need the players at their best and kill the games off when needed, we can better some performances, specially in the big games, but i trust in Mou and the team. FA Cup: Winners. i think we can do it, it will depend on our progression in the Champions League and who we draw in the FA Cup, but i think we´ll take it more seriously this time, i think Mou will want to win this one again as he only won it once, it will be hard but the team can cope well. I really don´t want those gunner karnts winning it again really hard seeing them lift the Cup these last 2 years, they now think it´s their cup and no one else´s, but enough is enough, this must come to an end lol they had their moment of luck, but now let´s try to restore the order and take the cup from them hehe.COC: not sure, maybe quarter final, i don´t think we´ll take it too seriously this time, but we´ll see how it pans out, Mou probably will want to use fringe players on this one, but as the season goes we´ll see if the team really want to win this one again and it will depend on the draws.Champions League: too hard to tell, maybe semi final, who knows?, first make it out of the group, let´s see how our goup is going to be, then after reaching the knockout stage, we´ll go step by step, we need to do much better then last time, but as we all know we will have to face teams like Real, Barca, Bayern, etc if we really want to win it, There are too many great teams, starting with the champions Barcelona, it will be extremely difficult, we´ll see how the team copes, but let´s hope we can go far in the competition. CheersLet´s see who else we bring in this summer, ( a GK, center back, a midfielder, winger maybe and we´re set ) here´s to having a complete squad and hoping for the best next season and may we all experience the joy and glory at the end of the season again Let´s do it Chelsea, make us proud KTBFFH :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: Cheers to all
BlueLion. 21,491
UEFA Champions League, FA Community Shield and FA Cup winners 2014/15. In all seriousness, any old trophy would do for me. As long as we're top two in the PL, do better in the CL (even quarter-finals for me wouldn't be all that bad, depends on the draw, though), and win one of the domestic cups I'd be delighted. Would love to win the Community Shield as well, a Wembley final is a Wembley final.

MrBlueGuy 1,552
I would bet my left nut Mou sacked won't even be a consideration unless we dive out of top 4.Yh I was just kidding but I think even if we are trophyless this season he won't be sacked because we just won the double. Maybe that is why he isn't bothered much about signing top class because he knows he is safe whatever happens so just relaxing and our current squad is more than good enough to challenge again. Maybe that is why he isn't bothered much about signing top class because he knows he is safe whatever happens so just relaxing and our current squad is more than good enough to challenge again.I honestly think Mou has this job for as long as he wants it.Him and Roman are completely different people to who parted company in 2007, back then Jose could have hand picked any job bar about 3 likewise Roman with manager's, neither have that luxury any more and in their time apart I think experiences for both have made them realise how lucky they were to have each other, hence the second coming, I can't see Roman wanting to risk another Scolari lite error. In my opinion, I think we will have to drop out of the top 4 for Roman to as much as even consider giving Jose the boot and that won't happen (drop out of top 4), under Jose we will at very worst be challenging at a high level. Both know which side their toast is buttered these days, take Jose respecting/accepting the decision to sell Cech to Arsenal despite making it clear thst it wouldn't have happened if he had the choice, imagine 2007 Jose if that happened? He would have hit the roof.
BlueLyon 9,359
As for club's objective, I think major trophy (PL or CL) is expected, while Mourinho's objective will probably be to win both.My 'realistic' opinion is we will win PL, one cup and hopefuly reach semis of CL. Dont think we have real chance to win it yet, but who knows.I also hope we do our homework regarding youngsters and develop them (Zouma, RLC, Traore, Ake,...)
