Forget about sign Leon Bailey if roma sign him them cunts would be looking £80m for him next season 🙁🙁🙁

We should do a pre-contract for him to join next summer, like Liverpool did with Naby Keita and RB Leipzig. Not sure if we can do this now, but surely in January, or even flat out buy him then.

I am so so so glad Roma didn't get him (Serie A window is shut now), or we are well and truly fucked, as Serie A is the place our transfer dreams go to die window-destroying deaths the last 3 or 4 windows:

Nainggolan

Alex Sandro

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio turns down a roughly 130m euro total value offer from us, cash plus Musonda, as they wanted 150m euro. We SHOULD have tossed in Drinkwater and not Musonda, or Bakayoko, then it would have been worth around 145m euros to the full 150m (we could have reduced the cash a wee bit (£102 was the cash part for Musonda offer) if Bakayoko so it did equal out) and surely they would have taken that)

Icardi (we truly fucked up there as we could have triggered his release clause for only (I say only because he is worth far more in today's market) £98m in the first 2 weeks of July this year)

Pjanic

Koulibaly

Bonucci

Alessio Romagnoli

Rugani

Marcelo Brozovic

Caldara

Vecino (who cares)

Higuain (not that upset at all)

Federico Bernardeschi (we offered 45m euros and fucking Fiorentina sells him for 40m to Juventus)

plus the Napoli De Laurentiis transfer bans to us now, post Sarri, etc etc

Chelsea remain Leon Bailey's dream destination, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain, it has been claimed.

http://www.insidefutbol.com/2018/09/08/leon-bailey-continues-chelsea-preference-despite-psg-joining-race/389253/

Winger Bailey has excelled in the Bundesliga at Bayer Leverkusen and the BayArena outfit recently locked him down to a new contract after seeing off interest in him over the summer transfer window.

Clubs are still eyeing Bailey, with PSG the latest side to be credited with holding an interest in signing the wide-man.

But, according to German outlet Fussball Transfers, Bailey's dream move remains to Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea.

My heart is set on him too. As an inverted RW (his favoured position). I do not see Barca selling Dembele now, and if they did, certainly not under the sub £100m price range (which I think they MIGHT have taken early in the window). Kylian Mbappé would be £250m, probably £300m, so that is never going to happen. Bale is 30yo before next season, so he is officially off all lists for me (never really was on due to cost) (Shitty are not going to sell Sterling or Bernard Silva (or my REAL wish at LW, Sane) ANY time soon. I won't even get into Salah cock up, lol, that's water under dam by now.

That leaves best remotely available RW options (in order)

Leon Bailey

Christian Pulisic

Federico Bernardeschi

David Neres (wonderful young (21yo) player for Ajax)

then drop down

Suso (I see him more as a Pedro replacement squad player)

Wilfried Zaha (just renewed though, insanely overpriced)

Iñaki Williams

Ángel Correa

Cristian Pavón

Florian Thauvin (many hate him here, I think he is massively better now)

Steven Bergwijn (PSV, 20yo, massive upside)

Pablo Sarabia

Marcel Sabitzer

Rony Lopes

Maxwel Cornet

then another drop down

Cengiz Ünder

Allan Saint-Maximin

Domenico Berardi

Samu Castillejo

Yann Karamoh

Nicolas Pépé

Wild Card - Malcom (IF Dembele goes nuclear, maybe Malcom will not like being a bench warmer, BUT he will cost FAR more than the £37m Barca paid for him (which we could have had him for TOO and Sold Willian to Barca for £65m) I will not get over that for a LONG time.

LW (this is if Hazard leaves mostly)

Marco Asensio (included in a RM deal for Eden)

Federico Chiesa (if we had him and Bailey, we have 2 wingers who can absolutely play either side or switch during a game to add confusion)

Vinícius Júnior  (included in a RM deal for Eden, I would almost rather have him than Asensio, he has massive, huge upside, is potential the best player long run on Real Madrid, he can play RW too)

Mikel Oyarzabal (just renewed to 2024, but still, only 21yo and a crazy technical player, would be a MONSTER in Sarriball and can play inverted RW, like Bailey)

then a drop down

Julian Draxler

Kingsley Coman

Julian Brandt

Hirving Lozano

Paulinho (Bayer Leverkusen 18yo, potential superstar)

Keita Baldé

another drop down

Ante Rebic

Franco Cervi

Pione Sisto

Wild Card   Anthony Martial (I look at him as a striker for us, NOT a LW, although obviously he can play there too)

Transfermarkt is really bad at labelling some wingers. They list Bailey as a LW, and Chiesa as RW, when they mostly play the opposite side.

“There’s concrete interest” – Budding Bundesliga star confirms firm interest from Chelsea this summer

https://www.chelsea-news.co/2018/09/theres-concrete-interest-budding-bundesliga-star-confirms-firm-interest-chelsea-summer/

According to Fussball Transfers in Germany, via Football London, Bayern Munich’s £53 million bid did not convince the winger to sign a deal this summer, because he is focused on joining Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.

Bailey is quoted to have said, he leaves his future in the hands of Bayer, who certainly may have been told of his London wishes.

“There’s concrete interest. What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that’s what I’ll focus on.

If a club wants me, my management and Bayer will take care of it.”

Leon Bailey, Football London
