BlueLion. 21,491
Premier League champions Chelsea will begin their quest to retain the title with a home match against Swansea City on 16 August. New loan signing Radamel Falcao may well, therefore, be making his competitive début for the club in front of the Stamford Bridge faithful as the Blues look to build on their near-perfect opening day record. The Blues will then head to Manchester City for an away fixture at the Etihad Stadium, whilst a late November trip to White Hart Lane will also likely prove to be a prominent one on Blues fans' calendars. A trip to Arsenal is scheduled for 23 January, whilst the Blues will finish the season at home to Leicester City on 15 May. A potentially nice-looking Christmas period sees Chelsea host newly promoted Watford and Bournemouth, plus a further home game against Dick Advocaat's Sunderland. December away trips to the King Power Stadium and Old Trafford completes the festive programme.Though every team in the league has to play the other 19 sides both home and away, a potential benefit for Chelsea is that, by the time their game against Arsenal on 23 January finishes, Mourinho's men will have played all of their title rivals away from home by a relatively early stage in the campaign.Click here to view the full fixture list, courtesy of the official club website.Click here to view the article Unionjack, Viper22 and nachikethas

Stats 7,147
Arsenal a title rival, fucking LOLYou have to take them seriously. When they got their best players back and Coquelin moved into the team, they had excellent second season form and were up there in the top form in Europe with Lazio. They don't look like they are losing anyone and with a couple quality additions they will be a big challenger. I really think people are underestimating Arsenal. As long as Wenger is Arsenal manager, I can't see them ever being very serious title contenders, sorry. We've got better teams to worry about in City and Man United. It's always the same story of "if Arsenal add a few players, they'll be a big challenger" but do they ever? Honestly, we should be worrying about City and United because they are being linked with a lot of big, big signings, whilst Arsenal aren't. Viper22 2,418
They are. If they get 2 of a) A Top Class DM, A Top Class GK or c) A Top Class CB then yes. But otherwise I don't think they can match up to us or City. BlueLion.

Worked well for us last season to get our hardest games out of the way as early as possible, we don't want them in the run in. Well I genuinely believe Arsenal will pose a serious threat next season compared to others. Even last seaosn I did not take their threat seriously but I just have a feeling that they are going to get stronger. Wenger just made some silly errors at the start of last season by not getting another CB when he had the chance and not looking at the DM department, For instance when they lost 2-0 away to Southampton they had Chambers and Coquelin who had just returned from loan in DM. However whent hey got their best players back and Coquelin earned his place in the team, they were very efficient. They improved in the big games as well. Beating City away from home.Next season we will see but I certainly think they are going to provide a serious threat next season. They have excellent squad depth as well. Tomo 21,751
Am I the only one not happy we have such tough game's so early?Mourinho is at his best when he gets top of the league and stays there come hell or high water, his teams have never been good at chasing down largish deficits like say Fergie sides were and with these fixtures at the start we might have to do just that. Duppy Conqueror 1,539
the start could be easier but I`m not concerned by it. in a way I`m glad we get Man City away early..certainly better than with us both on a late season title run.Swansea won`t be a walk over but we should beat them at home. Besides, it's probably good to get those games out of the way early on and if our form in the first half of last season is anything to go by, then we shouldn't worry too much. Over the past 20 seasons we've won 17 and drawn 3.Home for the last game.Home for Boxing day. But away for New Years. I like going to The Bridge for New Years Day its a good piss up.And I gotta admit Im still nervous about the Gooners. Theyre going to be better than last season and right now it doesnt look like we will be doing much to strengthen the squad. Seems like we are getting rid f more players than bringing in.
