Was looking forward to see the kids but not in these circumstances, would've like them to come on in a game where there is something to play for.Ruben had some beautiful dribbles to get past him man, looking forward to seeing him again next year. Cahill and Iva were poor, but with Azpi Terry would not have had to have made the tackle that gave away the pen and probably would have stopped the attack that gave them the third. Cahill could and should have stopped the first.Cesc's card was absolutely bizarre, I'm sure we'll hear about that.Luis was abysmal in defence, despite being a fantastic winger.RLC was fantastic, Izzy and Ake didn't have too much time to make an impact. Cuadrado was fairly crap tbh. We missed Oscar and Willian. Diego wasn't sharp but was ok. Remy was ok but he is useless on the wing. The Skipper 20,609 Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 many many many times. there were a couple of wbA shots from the edge of the box where he simply was not covering for matic and considering the fact that he was playing as a no.6, he should be doing that. you say his strength is not defensively, but he was "tidy" in attack. everyone he tried a tough pass, he gave it away (pass to hazard), that time when he could have put costa thru but dilly-dallied on the ball and costa went off. i am sorry, but for all the hype, he looks very ordinary. To me, he shouldn't even be playing as a 6 because that just restricts him. He's a pure B2B midfielder and hasn't really been allowed to do such. It was a good game from him, honestly. You clearly haven't watched him for the youth team at all... Give him some time. This is the kid's second PL game and he's still playing within himself, so imagine a confident RLC strutting his usual stuff? The through ball to Costa was fine btw, linesman made a mistake. I think apart from his ball to Hazard, he didn't give the ball away. Give him some time to feel comfortable. Commentators even thought he was superb. He had three or four dribbles in the game that was more like the usual Loftus-Cheek. I'm waiting for him to get more game time and get more confident, and get used to PL football a bit more. Imagine trying to break down buses without him all season.No one spotted any run all game lolThat was a factor, but a bigger factor was the fact that Costa was the closest thing we had to a pure winger and actual width so we had to play through the incredible congested center which was significantly even harder with the numerical disadvantage. Cesc didn't even play much for anyone to call him a flop even though what he did was stupid, and Costa, well, this is first game in months so what else were we going to expect? He's coming along nicely.Sorry but you can't say that was a 'good' game. All he did was pass side to side. Rarely had any pressure on him yet still decided to play the safe pass. As for the game well it's not really getting worked up about as to say the players were on the beach was an understatement. I'm surprised they didn't come out wearing speedos and flip flops. Cuadrado he's easier to brush off then dandruff has to be the weakest footballer i've ever seen and is patently not good enough. Anyway '' We won the league, We won the league''.
