Jase 43,479
Wilkins does talk quite a lot of BS really. How he chose Willian over Essien or even Ballack is beyond me. And never mind that Chelsea team he selected, just take a look at his ridiculous ratings of the players this season - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9836668/chelsea-player-ratings-ray-wilkins-marks-champions-title-winning-season. Luis, Cuadrado, Mikel got 7/10. Ramires and Drogba 7.5. Oscar 8!

DYC. 7,542
Willian... Fabregas' one season alone puts him above Willian, same with Matic.Right wing has been a real 'problem' for Chels in the Abramovich era, never star quality. Robben wasn't even that good for Chelsea, though very exciting to watch, and he played on the left (for the most part anyway). Duff, Cole, SWP, Kalou, Anelka, Mata, Moses, Schurrle, Willian (Cuadradoooo).Mata was good there in 11/12, though not great. Edit: Thinking about it, didn't he mostly play on the left?Anelka was pretty good overall in 09/10, but inconsistent overall. But then again, Hazard was the first star on the left. Iggy Doonican 4,186
I keep thinking of the Smiths song regarding his performances. ''Willian it was really nothing''.
stroey 2,525
Willian had a great reason, he keeps improving. But Essien prime was the best box to box player in the world.
Blue Armour 4,449
Anelka on the right wing over Robben for me. Underrated performance from that position especially in 09/10. Scoring, creating..you name it. And no-one can leave out Essien at his prime from the team.
OneMoSalah 8,887
I'd of had Ballack in there ahead of Essien tbh despite Essien being an absolute monster of a footballer in his best years. Ballacks ability to play several roles was key when we lost players, especially when he adapted his game to suit other players (Lampard in particular) and his leadership skills were always there to see from day one. Still gutted we let him go that early tbf. He still had another year or two in him I felt. Ray Wilkins is quite daft though. Willian? Really? Cmon man.
