Literally the only thing that couldve gone worse is if we lost.

What should have been an easy 3 points turned into a disaster. Now the one player we absolutely couldnt afford to lose is gone for 3 matches.

Terrible, terrible day. We could be in trouble now.

Nah we won't be in trouble but we will struggle defencely for 3 games.

These are the games that can be so so costly.Be nice if Newcasle can get something from their game seeing as the gap getting smaller again!

Need to step up our performances.Had 70 minutes with 11 men Do tend to play shit against lower down teams.

Though the FA do need to look at the incident. He shouldnt have pushed him but still it could've been worse.

We should probably have had two penalties in the first half, and Barnes should have had at least a yellow from the first half going studs up into the back of Ivanvovic's knee and kneeing Zouma in the side during that aerial challenge. How he still doesn't have a card after the tackle on Matic is incredible. Matic's reaction is understandable, and had there been any sort of competence from Atkinson at any point in this game, the entire situation could have been avoided.

Robbed by the ref but at the end of the day, this was a very poor performance. The level of the performances have been very unimpressive for a long while now.

Matic really cost the team today, should've kept his cool.

should have kept his cool?

He's lucky to have kept his leg intact.... there's no cool there to be lost or kept. Seriously, the reaction wasn't proportional to what Barnes did to him... he should have broken his nose instead... or at least tried as Barnes did to his leg.

Here are my thoughts

  • A lacklustre performance overall, too many loose passes and indecisiveness in the final third
  • We should have had two penalties in the first half
  • Our game management leaves a lot to be desired, once we went one man down, we should have slowed the game down and try to maintain possession instead of just sitting back to defend. The manager was even getting ready to bring on a defender for a striker just seconds before the goal. This aspect is where the likes of City, Arsenal and Liverpool are much better than us.
  • Again we paid the ultimate price for not killing the game off before it was too late
  • Our disciplinary record is worrying, however the Burnley twat should have also seen red for a dangerous tackle

easy guys, we still have 5 points gap even if City win. Mikel or Ramires will fill in Matic place. Sometimes someday this shit will happen, this is the day. Burnley hold City at Etihad, so fair play to them. Time to move on.

We had a 8 point gap before.5 is nothing espically if we play like today again and seeing as we dont play Sunday could be down to 2.Game in hand but still
