Kez 2,727
Its surprised me, and only clicked when mentioned on SSN that he seems to have went back to a manager who's ways about his totally mirror Jose. Has he come to his senses and realised he f*cked up? I really hope he has. If he treats Scolari the way he treated Jose and Avram we will find that noone will want to manage us. warnie_666 1,081
^^^^...Add Ranieri too, to the list of ill treated managers at Chelsea. I really really hope he stays with us for 3-4 seasons atleast. He is a fickle minded manager. Changes clubs every one or two seasons. Potugal was the only place where he managed for 5 seasons.
Kez 2,727
Sorry forgot about Raneiri. Every manager we've had under ambrovich has been ill treated. Hopefully we've finally got a long term manager who will be succesfull.

BlueLion. 21,491
I'd like him to bring Quaresma to the club, I think we are fairly strong in other positions.
changingman2000 35
Well, although I dont feel the need to crack open the Sherry, I think its a decent appointment. Its certainly a daring one anyway, Given the fact that the guy has never managed a club side in Europe and cant speak a word of English. He certainly has a reputation that people respect and I dont think he'll take any shit off the Govan one. He must have been offered a kings ransom because he was quick in turning down the England post when he seen what the gutter press were about. I just hope he doesnt think its going to be any easier handling the press being Chelsea Manager. I'll be backing him 100%. I have one or two nagging doubts, But, after the last scrotum, It's an appointment that should certainly have a positive effect. I think Drogba will still be off, And if we sign Deco that will give Lampard the reason he's been looking for methinks. Pizzaro, Sidwell, Belletti, Malouda should all hopefully be escorted out. I know the French were poor against the Dracula XI the other day, but Malouda was beyond pony, He really, really has been a very poor signing. EskWeston 696
A lot of interesting speculation in the papers today. Most of the papers seem to think Scolari favours a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the sun speculationg that our line up after transfers this season could be: ..................................Eto'o................................... ....Ronaldinho..............Deco.......................Villa...... ................Lampard..................Ballack................... A.Cole............Terry..............Carvalho.......Bosingwa ..................................Cech................................... Not too shabby really? There also seems to be a reccuring theme of Scolari wanting to make sure Lampard stays, which was thrown into some doubt when the constant Deco stories were comming out, but looking at the type of formation we could play it is easy to see how they can all work. The more you read about Scolari the more you get excited about the prospect of him managing our team, he seems like the perfect man for the job at this time and lets hope he can bring everything that it looks like he can bring. EskWeston 696
Were is the steele and defense in the midfield ? I think Lamps and Ballack are Steely enough? Don't you? We are more than capable of coping without someone constantly sitting in the midfield anchor role... We have a world class defence and keeper, it's not as if they need THAT much protection. Thats not lampard and ballacks game though, lampard will bomb forward ballack will as well you need some one like essien to give you penetration and fight. I really dont think we will buy deco he is too old at 31.

Lol, Deco's age goes up every day. 29, 30 and 31 all in the space of a few day Lampard, Ballack, Essien and Mikel are all capable of playing those 2 midfield roles and doing the legwork, and Lampard and Ballack would work together like that i am sure, neither are essentially "attacking" midfielders. They are all rounders who can score s**t loads of goals..

Deco's age is 30 he is too old we dont need another midfielder any way.
Elliott 7
Yeah that doesn't look it would work having those two there. They are too attacking minded to play that position, they are wasted there.
