SuperSheva7 0
Finally! I was getting worried that no one wanted to be our manager! I know he doesn't have much experience but I feel he'll go great. We're all backing ya Big Phil! OO...imagine all the players we'll attract with him! LOVELY!
Aesthetic Relic 301
No room for him, Lampard and Ballack come first If we play the way Portugal play we'll be playing 4-3-3. Now as far as I'm concerned, Sheva is not leaving the club and from what I have saw from him he cannot play as a lone striker, Anelka also likes to play off someone, so something has gotta give. We either sign another striker or play 4-4-2 to suit both Anelka and Sheva. We'll just have to wait and see who he brings in before we see whos playing where. If Deco arrives which has been mentioned, he'll be the creative player we've apparently lacked in recent years. If he comes he will play and we will almost certainly play 4-3-3 imo. That leaves 2 positions in midfield between Lamps, Ballack, Essien, Maka and Mikel. Obviously we'll need a holding player which leaves Lamps and Ballack. Tough choice. Kez 2,727
Thinking about it I wouldn't like to see the Midfield of Lampard Ballack & Essien messed with.
cfc-meleady 192
I don't want to appear pedantic, But he actually is from Brazil. Great appointment. Have to say he wasn't my first choice, But after all the uncertainty I'm pleased with Scolari. My mistake...should be "he came from Portugal"
Aesthetic Relic 301
Thinking about it I wouldn't like to see the Midfield of Lampard Ballack & Essien messed with. Thats the thing though, atm we're a big bruising side who make it hard for teams to break down. If we go for that extra attacking flair in midfield we'll be losing some of our bite imo. Kez 2,727
We should try out 4-4-2 or perhaps 4-5-1 but with either Anelka or shevchenko playing off the other.
warnie_666 1,081
Who wants to bet on Ronaldinho coming to Chelsea, with Scolari in the Hot seat.? He plays 4-3-3. All we gotta do is, get a direct dribbling winger and a good quality striker. Midfield shoudnt be tinkered with if we are to play 4-3-3. Also, now we will hear rumours about Ronaldo coming to Chelsea. You heard it first here. Edited June 11, 2008 by warnie_666

warnie_666 1,081
Quaresma and Huntelaar....game over Dont knwo how highly Big Phil regards Quaresma's talent. Two games in succession he has started on Bench. Huntelaar plays best with a supporting striker is what I feel as Ajax plays with 2 strikers upfront.(correct me if im wrong)

Gianfranco_Z 202
Dont knwo how highly Big Phil regards Quaresma's talent. Two games in succession he has started on Bench. That would probably be because they have Ronaldo, I think he'd bench any winger in the world... Who would you choose to start if you were gaffer? Ronaldo or Quaresma? Tough one? I think not. Both is stupid, Simao gives them something slightly different and that is why he likes to play with Ronaldo and Simao, because they are different kinds of wingers, Ronaldo and Quaresma are too similar.
