BlueLion. 21,491
Diego Costa has been banned for his alleged stamp on Emre Can in Tuesday's Capital One Cup semi-final triumph over Liverpool. In what is quite simply a farcical decision, this move by the FA only serves to add fuel to the fire of José Mourinho's view that there is a media "campaign against Chelsea". Despite numerous pundits and former footballers, including Gary Lineker, Thierry Henry and Paul Scholes, all leaping to Costa's defence, the FA have, for some reason, viewed that Costa's movement was deliberate and dangerous towards the grounded Can, who was on the floor following a fifty-fifty challenge with the Spain international. In spite of the best attempts of the Liverpool bench to get Costa sent off, referee Michael Oliver - whose horror showing on Tuesday saw him deny the Blues two clear penalties and allow Lucas and Jordan Henderson to stay on the pitch despite an accumulation of fouls - did not include the incident in his match report, allowing the FA to take retrospective punishment. The 26-year-old will miss Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge as well as games against Aston Villa and Everton.Costa can have the media, including brainwashed morons such as Stan Collymore, to thank for his suspension as his - clearly accidental - "stamp" was prominent amongst Sky Sports' and the BBC's highlights coverage of the match. There was, typically, no mention of in the first leg, or of Lazar Markovic's attempted elbow on Filipe Luis. Maybe José is right about a "campaign" after all. When Chelsea are on the receiving end, we all know nothing will be done. Just ask Sergio Aguero.Click here to view the article Viper22, zolayes, RoyalBlues and 1 other

Viper22 2,418
Great take on this latest farcical, inconsistent attack on Chelsea by the group of cunts that call themselves the FA.How can an organisation claim to be consistent when there is no punishment for any of these incidents:(Drogba was in fact booked for diving here if you remember)There are lots more but if I carry on working myself up i'm going to have a heart attack. CHOULO19 24,332
The FA are inconsistent because they are too easily influenced by the biased media. But let's not make it out like Diego is innocent in all of this. Both stamp/steps were completely unnecessary. And let's not forget that Diego has been lucky not to be suspended for a few other incidents earlier this season. We always knew that this is going to happen at some point of the season with Costa. Popular Post! Viper22 2,418 Posted January 30, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted January 30, 2015 I would point the FA apologists to the fact that even Lineker, Henry, Scholes and Neville (hardly Chelsea's biggest fans) even said that he didn't deserve to be banned. And that's even before you touch on the ridiculous levels of inconsistency.Source:http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/diego-costa-thierry-henry-paul-scholes-gary-neville-and-gary-lineker-say-controversial-chelsea-striker-should-not-be-banned-10012865.html MichaelDance, BlueLion., CeleryFC and 2 others

Where's his ban?The FA being idiots does not equate to some sort of conspiracy plot against Chelsea. Certain members of the media may have an extreme bias towards the club but I do not believe that the FA do.
Green Lantern18 54
Iv'e s seen a list incidents that Diego has been involved in throughout his career, and iv'e got to say it dosen't look great.https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B8hC7dYIIAAgAL0.jpg:large BUT he gets a a free pass from me when it comes to his scuffles with the Real Madrid defence. Who are not above standing on opposition player's achilles among other things.
coolhead23 1,147
Campaign or Conspiracy against us! Not sure, we can keep debating on and on and yet not have a definite conclusion. However what is for sure is that the FA are very inconsistent with their decision making. In this case, for me both sides are too be blamed. Costa's deeds away from his football has been a little too aggressive, lot of us have mentioned it in the past that he was lucky to be on the field, a red card in the making, etc, etc. Maybe this ban is more like a cumulation of all of those. Costa needs to start mending his ways (he has already acquiring a bad image which might go against the team on the field of play) just like the FA needs to.
