The domestic football season may be over, but Chelsea are still proving a bit hit with two of the biggest stars in America's National Basketball Association.

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics have taken time out from playing against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Final to back the Blues recently.

The Celtics megastar Garnett, and captain Pierce, became Chelsea fans last summer after the pre-season tour to Los Angeles. Pierce visited the team training at UCLA while Garnett attended the game against the LA Galaxy.

Garnett has even stayed in touch with the squad sending a good luck message before the Champions League Final.

As the picture shows, Garnett has just taken delivery of his new Chelsea shirt with his own number 5, while Pierce was asked about his new found interest in soccer at a recent Finals press conference and talked about meeting the Chelsea squad.

The Celtics are currently leading the Lakers 2 games to 0 in the best of 7 game series which is effectively the club world championship of basketball.
