Term-X 7,891
If the Youth are struggling to get games in the mickey mouse cup then there's zero chance we will see any youth involvement in the more prestigious competition, the FA cup. unless we suffer major injury crisis. If City slip up (unlikely) we might pull off the title mathematically before the end of the season, there's hope for the youth then. OneMoSalah 8,886
Just get the job done first then we can talk about using youth from the bench. We have other players to use as well who haven't been as regular as they would have liked (Cech, Zouma, Salah, Schurrle, Ramires, Mikel, Remy) before even considering using youth. I'm all for introducing youth in gradually but we have to rotate the team and give those who could be used in the next month or so minutes so they are in a good enough condition and performance level to come in/start if needed to. Obviously after seeing Loftus-Cheek v Sporting I'd like to see a bit more of him but I can't see him being in the squad, Ake should hopefully be in there and get some minutes be it as a LB or CM. He finished the game, so see no reason as to why he wouldn't be available.

He finished the game, so see no reason as to why he wouldn't be available. But apparently his knee was pretty badly bruised after the match. Neil Barnett asked him(Filipe) about it after the match he said it's swelled and badly bruised and said that it should be fine in a few days. nyikolajevics 2,700
so, possible line up?It's hard to predict.. Mourinho said he would select a strong lineup but what does that mean? I don't believe Diego or Oscar will start.
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Cahill i being rested, so if there's any other youth than Zouma it would be RLC in for Oscar if he is rested. I doubt it, though, but provisionally: CechIva Zouma Terry Dave Cesc - MaticSchurrle - RLC/Oscar - Hazard DrogbaBench: Courtois (I assume he can play?), Cahill, Luis, Mikel, Oscar/RLC, Willian/Remy, Costa

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
i disagree mate Carles Puyol is 1.78 m in height and he was brillant at centre back What does Carles Puyol have to do with Ake? The laziest thing you can do as a football fan is look at one player and assume that because so and so made it so can so and so. Ake and Puyol have nothing in common whatsoever.Ake will either be our young LB or our DM, that's what he's being groomed for under Jose.

He seems to be very good as a LB or DM, I think we should stick at ass-kicking CB-s like Zouma. I can't see Aké as a CB against teams like West Ham(Sakho, Valencia, Carroll) and Stoke(Diouf, Crouch). Precisely why making comparisons like you have made make no sense.
