Yes, last Friday we played for the league on a synthetic pitch and Nani suffered a thigh strain. Those pitches are just horrible.

We miss 3 usual starters. Wingbacks Jefferson and Cédric are out too. Hopefully the kids Jonathan and Esgaio will be up to the challenge.

Everyone crying about academy players not getting a chance need to listen to Jose's PC today. "Youth can only get promoted when you have stability in management." Jose is bang on and I expect to see a lot more academy kids getting through the next few years.

I don't know about that. I'm skeptic. Mourinho can make all the promises he wants in the press but as long there isn't anything tangible to back the claims, i'll remain skeptic. He's shown a strict preference to a core XI, where by even Luis, Schurrle aren't getting much of a look-in let alone the youth
