I don't know how some of you are so confident (3-0?), yeah we are better but we were better than Man Utd and Maribor as well.

And guess what, we will drop points against teams from the bottom half as well. This is football, and the argument "we are better" is not really working for me.

With that being said, I really hope we will win this. It will be pretty frustrating not to after the two draws at Etihad and OT.

If we want to win the title without counting on the others to stay as bad as they are now, we need to start winning big games away.

Why not be confident? We thiught we would win vs Maribor and United too. Shit happens, we are capablebof beating anyone when we play to our potential.

all players are fit, so Mikel and Remy are available for selection.

bench: Cech, Zouma, Luis, Mikel, Drogba, Willian, Remy/Schurrle/Salah

I thought Mou said that Remy will be fit after international break?

Also, i think Mikel wont be fit for tmr...

It'll be a tough game with the way that every single team raises their game against us and how we make average players look world class. For example..

City beaten by Stoke, Newcastle and CSKA already at home this season but when we played them they dominated for long periods of time. Mangala was world class against us, and in the next game he scored an own goal and gave away a penalty.

Same with United. Poor team but we let them dominate us at times. Fellaini was a beast in midfield ffs..Fellaini. QPR thumped by United and Spurs and 19th in the table but we just manage to scrape a win. Why does Jose show teams like City and United too much respect when we're not playing at the bridge? They're 'big' teams but with our ambitions we should be beating teams like that or at least controlling the game.

Hopefully for this game Jose ditches his usual small club mentality when playing big teams away from home cause we can trash Liverpool 3, 4-0 if we play our usual game. They are so bad it's hilarious.

He wasn't world class against us, what goes missing in that statement is what the refs allow players to get away with. If he doesn't get cautioned for going i through players backs the whole game he will appear to be dominant. On another day he would've been picking up fouls all over the place.

The refs allowed him to get away with murder on the day.

This Utd dominated us garbage is getting really annoying... At no point in the game were they dominant.

the performance at times I mean.so many chances which we didnt take n lead to a draw.Same with Man U.Chances gone then up pops Van Persie.Need to actually make the most of them Saturday otherwise same could happen and be a loss

You make it sound like City are mugs. They're a very good football team on their day, especially at Etihad... A draw was a great result.

The Utd game I seem to be the only one who thought we performed well and should've taken all three.

This was a funny article back then.

Of course the writer seemed to be a big Liverpool supporter and was jelly. :D

Luis and Azpi should start but won't.

Their main weakness is through the center, their center backs are awful and Stevie is past it he is very vunerable, I hope Luis starts so he can push up and allow Hazard to go into the center and Shurrle can play and stretch it on the other side, but I don't see it at all.

A couple things I need to get off my chest before the lunchtime kickoff, first we are better than Liverpool all over the pitch, if we lose or draw it will have more to do with us than it does them. They rested players midweek because that lot aren't used to playing in Europe and clearly can't hack it. Playing two games a week is normal for a top club and we have the players who know how to manage themselves in these situations.

I do feel 4-3-3 is the best way to attack this game, I would start with Ramires next to Matic and have Cesc in the 10 with Oscar on the right flank. This formation is highly adaptable and harder to predict should we look to play on the counter. I have a good feeling Liverpool will try and play the game at a slower pace since they will be without Sturridge. Liverpool are the ones who need this victory desperately not only for their pride, but also because a loss makes their Europa league hopes more daunting. Not to mention we'll be 15 pts past them before December. The conspiracy theorist in me says this game will have an incident that will greatly benefit Liverpool, mainly because a club like them can't be out of the title race that early... very bad for ratings if you ask me. If Sterling is in the box do not put a foot in, that will lead to an automatic pen and "Stevie G's redemption!" You know that's how they'd like to write it.

And yes everyone who said they will be highly motivated to get the victory are correct, they will be... Much like Arsenal was highly motivated to get the win after being shellacked 6-0. Who in that team has the bottle to step up and meet the occasion head on? How many of their starters this year were in the team that lost the title on Slippy's error? Well there's Slippy, Sterling, Skrtel, Mignolet, Henderson(though he didn't play) and coutinho? So just over half of their starters what of the other half? Will Lovren, Balotelli Moreno, Manquillo or Lallana be carrying the same motivation? I doubt it...

Costa has had a decent amount of time to work out the kinks since his last injury, I have a feeling he'll be amongst the goal scorers in this one. I'm also elated we'll be at full strength again with Remy able to come in and change the game(who's to say he won't be extra motivated to prove them wrong about him?)

We have the squad people, its about us this year. Every game we've performed poorly in this year has resulted in us taking points that to me is the mark of a great team. Jose loves these types of games and I have a feeling he will have the team WELL UP for this. Not saying this will be easy, not by any stretch, but we have the team and so long as we dominate the game in wide areas I have no doubt we will be victorious. Hazard and Oscar(if my lineup proves correct) will have to be our best players I feel.

anyways lets just take the three.

‘I think my players are ready for it, at least mentally ready if not physically where they can have a little problem now and again, but the best way to do it is to think match after match and not about the difficulties.

‘It doesn’t matter if we are or are not in a disadvantaged position. What matters is we have to play there tomorrow at 12.45pm and we have to be ready for it.

‘What inspires us to win is our job. Every game you have to think about winning. This is the essence of football.’

I have a good feeling about this.
