BlueLyon 9,359
Wanted to make a topic about him yesterday already, and now that he scored again, Im even more certain he should come into consideration if we want to add more homegrown players...Im realy surprised no one mentioned him yet, he looks promising striker and will probably get into england NT sooner or later...Scored 6 goals so far, 21 years old, he originates from Burundi.I think he would be relatively cheap right now, but as soon he gets more recognition, and nt call, price will go up. Considering many english teams look to add english players, he will be hot property for sure.
Cholo 428
Not proven enough for Chelsea. Would be pretty unfair concerning the academy, too.
Yeboii 1,844
Pretty sure Bamford, Brown and Solanke are home-grown and they are all strikers. Would not really make sense to sign Berahino

BlueLyon 9,359
Yeah but signing Sterling would make sense? He is relatively cheap and I doubt we will have more than one player from academy, either Ake, RLC, Baker, Bamford,...but if one makes the cut, I will be happy.Berahino atm is on realy good form and if he has good season, he will sure be a good option to have, either as backup striker or sth. iseah100 5,612
We have 2 HG strikers in Bamford and Solanke. Why would we get Berahino? Sterling is HG and a right winger, our only inconsistent area. Totally different.
bababoom 4,478
Reminds me of a young Jermain Defoe. Promising player.

OneMoSalah 8,889
I've been very impressed with this lad ever since Steve Clarke gave him a run of games for West Brom a few seasons ago, for his age his starts to goals record is incredible. I think its basically a goal in every 2 games. Also he has a great record for England U21s IIRC. If we didn't have Bamford and Solanke then I'd say go for it but maybe next season when Drogba probably retires only issue is hes not gonna start ahead of Diego Costa and Remy will still be here as well as Bamford will come back from his loan spell. TheChelseaDane 48
Berahino looks very promising, but then again, do we need him? The simple answer is no. We have Bamford out on loan, coin relatively well. He is still young, and I for one, have great faith in him
beyondinvisible 47
I think Berahino will become hot property in some time. He started off well last year but then kind of faded off. This year has been pretty decent so far.Do Chelsea need him? Not really. Could we use him. Sure. Would we be willing to pay an inflated sum to buy him considering he's English? Not likely. Special Juan 28,188
He wouldn't get in ahead of Costa, nor would he come here and sit on the bench because he is a kid who needs to be playing constantly like now.Could see him going to Spurs or somewhere like that. beyondinvisible 47
Could see him going to Spurs or somewhere like that. Depends on the price that's put on him. I could easily see West Brom value him at 20-25 million, which would put him of out reach of most mid-table clubs. City is a possibility though. They're pretty low on English players in their squad currently.

RoyalBlues 4,050
7 goals in 9 apps this season, at a shit team like WBA is pretty impressive imo. Still 21 years old and English, very promising.

Tomo 21,751
Not that I think we should sign him but I can't help but chuckle at the "we should prioritise our own youth first" line.Imagine if we decided to decline Frank Lampard to focus on Jody Morris or not sign Joe Cole because Anthony Grant was coming through the ranks? Just saying.
