CHOULO19 24,332
Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard has today announced his retirement from international duty.Chelsea's record holding top scorer has always served his country to the fullest of his ability in his 15 year international career, scoring 29 goals for the Three Lions in his 106 caps. Frank is one of only 8 players in history to make more than 100 appearance for England. Lampard's decision comes ahead of England's preparations for the Euro 2016 in France, thus putting an end to the rumors that the reason that Frank agreed to join Manchester City on loan was to prolong his international career. Viper22 2,418
Never really replicated his club form for his country, but then who of the so called "golden generation" did? Cheers for all of the memories Frank, and if nothing else for personally ensuring the rush of goal line techno through FIFA into widespread use.
