Ehm yes he can.

Everything anybody needs to know about Costa ^^

Using this to once again post the footballing brain that is His Highness Didi Hamann's pronouncements back in August : "Costa is overrated. He had a couple of good years for Atlético Madrid, but his

That's so dumb.

Just like Payet, not worth keeping a player that doesn't want to be here.

Sell him and that's that.

Assuming the sentiment attributed to Roman is accurate, it's hard to conclude anything from it. On the one hand, if Roman does not wish to sell, then that is exactly the stance he would take. On the other hand, if he is willing to sell then that is exactly the stance he would take for negotiation purposes.

Seriously what the fuck. A week ago those share jokes and are best friends and now there is a bust up. It was always going to happen though. 13 wins in a row is way too much positive. Just a shame that this broken in the evening and not yesterday or in the morning. Hearing from Conte at the press conference would be the best.

What a shitty period since the derby at the Lane. Let the media celebrate...

I'm not really surprised about this latest Diego Costa saga. He's already shown in the past he has little respect for the club or the fans who chant his name in every game. He's also shown he has no respect for Conte after the way he humiliated him against (ironically enough) Leicester.

I think it's now a question of which transfer window he leaves not if he leaves. He's not going to be a Chelsea player next season that's for certain. There's obviously a risk selling him in January but remember, we won the Premier League in 2014/15 with him being injured a lot in the 2nd half of last season.

Hopefully in the summer we're able to get a striker who has good ball control and isn't tunnel visioned. And who also isn't a complete nutter.

What about going for Alexandre Lacazette?

I'll love Lacazette as well. He'll fit in very well with our inside forwards. But it's another name that won't be possible until the summer.

Am I missing some piece of information? Couldn't it just be that Costa was unhappy about the medical staff suggesting that he get some rest due to some back issue (which Costa would probably think he can play through)? And that the offer from China is completely separate?

EDIT: Or opposite, where Costa wants a rest.

Several #Chelsea sources believe Costa's alleged fitness problem is merely a smokescreen to disguise his disgruntlement at the club. [Times]

Diego Costa wanted to rest this week, but #Chelsea expected him to train as part of Antonio Conte's strict fitness regime. [Mail]

This sparked a series of blazing arguments, with Antonio Conte backing his medical team and leaving Diego Costa flabbergasted. [Mail]

I wonder if club haven't forecasted it with summer bids for Lukaku and Morata (after we acquired Batschuayi even). Yeah we may play with 2 strikers but those guys are rather more suited to be solo striker than operating in a duo. So even back then they could be already lined up as replacement for Diego. Maybe.

For me it's still no story until after tomorrow's press conference. I'm not too fussed. But if it turns true then we HAVE TO aim higher than Lukaku /Morata.
