warnie_666 1,081
I love doing this. Its like playing a jackpot without putting money on line. Outs: Ben Haim(5milliion), Sidwell(4 million) (although i think he will be loaned), pizzaro(6 million), Drogba(19million), SWP(14 million), Belleti(6 million)(he wasnt bad actually), Sheva (10 million), Makalele (10 million) Ins: Boswinga(16 million), Dos Santos(17 million), Huntelaar(17 million), Di santo(2 million). Anelka(13million), ivanovic(9 million) Sold: 74 million Bought: 74 million. P.S: Subject to change based on my whims.

Belletti was signed for under £1m, he's not gonna sell for £6m a season later when he's just got older. Makele for £10m? You're mad, no one will pay that much for someone that old. And tbh I doubt Drogba or SWP will go for that much either. Or Sheva.
Elliott 7
I thought Belletti was around the £4mil range?

Ben Haim will definately get 5 million, simply because a mid table team wouldbuy him not to bench him but to play in the starting line up. Belleti, was bought for 5 million not 1 million. And he has not done bad to be honest. He was benched at Barca throughout the season and we bought him for 5. He will definately go for more than 5 million. Makalele for 10 million, hmm may be a bit too much. Drogba, definately 19 million. SWP will definetly fetch you more than 10 million simply because he will start the match when he plays for mid table teams and that gives us an incentive to sell him at a higher price. Did you seriously think Robben would go for 24 million?

DavidEU 2,023
We signed Belletti for £3.5M, so we wont get £5m. Pizarro £6M? Are you having a laugh?
kbchel 2
why not???pizarro was a class player in bayern....he was always better than santa cruz....and provided there are alot of rich clubs out there like spurs, man city, aston villa, Newcastle they will splash some for him....champions league pedigree.... makalele will retire with us....he will play some bit part during the campaign......... man utd sign and recall so many players last season...hargreaves, nani, pique, anderson, tevez, ben foster.... we on the other hand only have free ones......hope this season will be better Edited May 23, 2008 by kbchel
riks12 3
Now there's a rumour about Robinho: Real Madrid forward Robinho claims Chelsea have made an offer - believed to be 35 million Euros (about £28m) - to take him to Stamford Bridge. (Brazil's TV Globo, 1920 BST) Dunno how reliable that is, but Robinho is a great player. Would defo like to see him in blue shirt more than Dos Santos. But I'd still prefer Quaresma as winger. warnie_666 1,081
I am NOT sure if i am happy with this news of Robinho coming to Chelsea. Every time we see us sign the big stars, they flop, and then we try to console ourselves by saying, it is his first season. Anways, I would rather like Ribery to join us and not Robinho. Several reasons: 1) Ribery is more Direct and likes to take on the full backs 2)He is versatile. He can play the attacking midfield role(play maker) as well as play on either wings. 3) He takes free kicks. And hence i feel he is better at crossing the ball compared to Robinho. 4) He has played in France, Turkey and Germany and has proved himself in all the leagues unlike Robinho who has only played in spain and brazil. I would rather take a man who has proved himself in different leagues. 5) Would love to see him on left and Joe Cole on right running riot. 6) He is the next Zidane for France, and you would want to snatch him before he reaches his peak. Several reasons: 1) Ribery is more Direct and likes to take on the full backs So does robinho 2)He is versatile. He can play the attacking midfield role(play maker) as well as play on either wings. So does robinho 3) He takes free kicks. And hence i feel he is better at crossing the ball compared to Robinho. we already have fights for free kicks why add more to misery.. 4) He has played in France, Turkey and Germany and has proved himself in all the leagues unlike Robinho who has only played in spain and brazil. I would rather take a man who has proved himself in different leagues.mind you those two league combined are better than the three ribery played in.. 5) Would love to see him on left and Joe Cole on right running riot. and why wouldnt you love robinho running riot on left? 6) He is the next Zidane for France, and you would want to snatch him before he reaches his peak. you could say robinho is the next pele for brasil all said and done i'd prefer ribery over robinho too but only cos the general failure of south americans in EPL, which agreed has its exceptions and robinho being a bit lightweight compared to him.. warnie_666 1,081
atm ribery is a bigger star than robinho --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont think so. Anways, I would rather like Ribery to join us and not Robinho. Several reasons: 1) Ribery is more Direct and likes to take on the full backs So does robinho --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May be, but Ribery seems a much more complete and a responsible player than robinho. 2)He is versatile. He can play the attacking midfield role(play maker) as well as play on either wings. So does robinho --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May be, but I stand by my second poiint 3) He takes free kicks. And hence i feel he is better at crossing the ball compared to Robinho. we already have fights for free kicks why add more to misery.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We dont have good corner kick takers. Plus Ribery takes penalties. He is cool headed. Just by watching him, you know he will give it all for the team. Ribery is a future captain material for France. 4) He has played in France, Turkey and Germany and has proved himself in all the leagues unlike Robinho who has only played in spain and brazil. I would rather take a man who has proved himself in different leagues.mind you those two league combined are better than the three ribery played in.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May be Spain but not Brazil. In Europe he is a "one league pony"...just like Sheva and ballack and malouda. And knowing our history in investing huge amounts in such players..I wold restrain myself from buying Robinho for that sum. 5) Would love to see him on left and Joe Cole on right running riot. and why wouldnt you love robinho running riot on left? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Again, cus Ribery is a more complete player for me compared to Robinho. 6) He is the next Zidane for France, and you would want to snatch him before he reaches his peak. you could say robinho is the next pele for brasil --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, the media and French fotball fans have tipped him to become the next Zidance not me.
