His passing is not even better than Kante's these days and the only reason he wants to stay at Chelsea is because his family is settled in London and he does not want to go through the hassle of relocating. His performances have been below par for far too long and no way does he deserve to be kept around for next season. Sell him while he still has got some value left because his legs are fast forgetting the skills they possessed.

I disagree. Kante is the best ball winner in the world but his passing is not at the same level as Cesc. Just watch us when we play 352 and kante as holder, his passing is way too conservative and that cannot happen when you are the one with most freedom.

I highly anticipate Chelsea switching to a 433 next season, but even then......Fabregas' influence needs to be limited next season. The way Conte used him last season was most ideal. He was predominately on the bench, and used very sparingly. Football is all about athleticism + pressing, and hiding Fabregas's defensive deficiencies is getting harder and harder to do.

Seeing reports chelsea want Jean-Michael Serri, and if that's the case, then Fabregas' time here at Chelsea may be drawing to a close. Not sure who will take him though with his age/high wages and with his contract due to expire next summer... I expect we'll just keep him and let his contract run-down.

I really do love the lad and it saddens me watching him just getting further past his best. Theres no doubting he still has a touch about him and is great at reading plays.

But I'm afraid that unless somehow Sarri (?) can bring something extra out of him we need to upgrade to Cescy MK II.

It should be by far our top priority.

Yeah, a new controller and a right sided forward should be priorities.

Plus I do think a striker. We still dont have a good one even if Bats is around. I'm all for letting him stay on with Giroud or even Morata IF Sarri can get into his head.

Wouldn't you give your left dangley for Icardi or Lewa? I know I'd donate mine.

In a perfect world those would be either Thiago  from Bayern or Pjanic from Juve for PMCMF, and for RW Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen or Malcom from Bordeaux. I am not holding my breath.:(

I think Sarri will breath a new lease of life into him. There is plenty left that Cesc can offer in a more offensive team.

Also with Jorginho coming and Kante, a 3 man MF with Cesc being given a chance to play further up could be an excellent option. Yes it would be lightweight but when we are chasing games or against smaller teams? Absolutely, why not?

I wouldn't mind Fab as a rotational player one bit. Kante, Jorginho, Cesc would obliterate all smaller bus parking teams. Golovin to play in tougher games with Fabregas a super sub. Question is would he accept this role? There are plenty of minutes to play across the season, so hopefully yes.

I like Cesc and think he could still do a job for us but keeping him wouldn`t be the best for the long term good of Chelsea..for next season alone yes.but with those games in the Europa cup,Milk cup etc...I think it would be better to play Barkley/RLC  etc.. for me this upcoming season we could do a lot of good for our longterm future by giving our youngsters a chance over players winding down their careers in top flight football.
