Shameless bunch if true.

Can you imagine being sent away for stating the obvious?!?

“For all the possession stats, chances created and positive xG, 18 months on and it is the same old story for the “All new Clearlake Chelsea” around £1BN spent and they still can’t find a fit regular goal scorer”

Not surprised.

They turfed Tuchel out because he didn’t want to do things their way and was mummers that he was very critical of being so involved in things outwith his job as head coach.

Some rumours doing the rounds that Poch wants much more say on the January transfers too - so will see how that goes. Surely to fuck he will get a bit more say. It’s blatantly obvious we need some more experience.

Questioning the recruitment and more importantly Stewart & Winstanley’s role in it, is absolutely needed though. Been banging on about this in other threads for a while now. We’ve spent what maybe 750m in 2 windows under them and its hard to see where we got any value for money or improvements on what we had before.

There was also quite a few rumors of Tuchel being involved with a staff member and apparently there was backlash and as a result both parties decided to part ways.    There's always 2 sides to every story and Tuchel's history shows that he's fallen out with most of the boards that he has worked with (Dortmund, PSG, Chelsea).

In terms of signings, the biggest question marks will continue to surround:

- Fofana, Disasi, Cucurella

- Mudryk, Madueke

Yeah lot of other questions re Tuchel that we won’t ever get answers to but we were also told Luis Enrique was seen as “too demanding/wanted too much control” and thats why the Boehly-Clearlake consortium went another way with Pochettino.

Again on TT, Bayern are a notoriously well run club and have a specific way of doing things, always have, but even they are willing to work with Tuchel despite knowing his history… so makes me inclined to think that Boehly & co could have maybe been able to do so for longer than 5 months or whatever it was. Again which nobody ever mentions was after an incredibly stressful time for him & the club where his behaviour was absolutely exemplary from the fall out from Russia-Ukraine & Roman situations.

Throw in Pat Nevin being removed from media duties by the club I would say that big bad Boehly & co don’t like their decisions being questioned - despite it being blatantly obvious to everybody including Stevie Wonder, that their decision making has hugely influenced the past 18 months, as it has been pretty piss poor. But this is the typical American way, yes its your sport and your club but we know better because we know everything….. and we will do it our way regardless of what you think because we are right and you are wrong.

Only just over 8 more years before they can sell up, can’t come soon enough. I think things are going to get much much worse if I am honest, the sheer incompetence at board and footballing operations level is incredible.

Either way on signings, one thing is constant, these sporting directors have had involvement on every big decision/signings since January and 90% of them have been bad/severely overpriced with no hope of value for money. And barring Sterling (may divide opinions but been the best one from that first window) the first batch of signings under Boehly/Tuchel haven’t done much either.

We are shit, simple as that. As long as people's expectations like us, and that is mid-table then you won't be shocked at results.

Anther defeat coming this weekend, get fuck all against Brighton

100% bro, it's quite sad, our expectations as a fan base have dropped so far, like we are 10th.

Have a read of this, Mauricio Pochettino Must Do Better, read it yesterday, it makes some good points like yours around how we are accepting being shit. Not sure about the Spurs comparison but i get the overall message

We should be doing better, i actually can't stand to watch us play right now.

I know change of ownership etc and things change but didn't think so much would and so wronly as well. Nothing has changed for the better. People being fired and let go here and there despite being at the club for so long. There is no loyalty shown to anyone and we're in such a mess!

With all the inflation , even poor players cost a fortune so being able to outspend other teams isn’t worth shit. Mediocre

And even outspending we've spent a lt and sit 10th...14 from top spot and 12 from 4th. No good having money to throw around if doesnt=results

Poor players don't cost a fortune, you just have to make the right signings.

You can't say that we "needed" Mudryk/Maduke/Disasi/Cucurella/Lukaku....even Caicedo/Lavia seemed like a bit of overkill for midfield.

That's why we are mid table and Liverpool are fighting for UCL next season....and they've spent their fair share of money as well.   The difference is they got attacking quality in the side, that fella from Leipzig, Gravenberch from Bayern, Gapko, Jota, Nunez.

We blew our money on signings that have zero value.   Other than Enzo, Sterling, Palmer and Gusto (in some games), the rest of the signings have been average at best.

TIM HARKNESS is leaving his role as Chelsea’s Head of Sport Science and Psychology after 14-and-a-half years.

The South African has been one of the great survivors at Stamford Bridge, working under a dozen different managers during a period of considerable change. He joined the club in July 2009 after a chance meeting with Carlo Ancelotti’s former assistant, Bruno Dimichelis.

Mark Beeney leaving Chelsea

So that time has come. After starting work coaching for Chelsea FC on a part time basis in June 2001, Head of Goalkeeping Dept for the U21’s from 2004 and latterly scouting for the Club for the last 16 months, Chelsea have decided my time at the club has come to an end. I have worked with some fantastic people on and off the pitch, and would like to wish them all the very best. I am now looking forward to new challenges and as one door closes another one hopefully will open….

General consensus was that the past 3 windows these owners put their hands in their pockets and signed some genuine potential “world class” players so they deserved some slack despite a lot of criticism from various sections of the fanbase.

Honestly, for me, they’ve stripped the club of what it was under the previous regime and for the worse. The whole plan, from overhauling various departments of the staff, huge amount of signings/departures and general direction they are looking to take the club.

Giving the majority of these young players 7/8 year contracts has allowed some sort of notion to set in that we don’t need to be competitive immediately because we will definitely be competitive in the future. Or thats how it looks from the last 18 months. Not to mention the owners, manager and media constantly driving the bandwagon using words like “project” and “processes” like there is no tomorrow.

After a £1 billion pound spend, to look considerably much worse off than we did 18 months ago, embarrassing isn’t even the word. And it is not sustainable either to spend £1bn and get it so considerably wrong which begs the question, how much more money are these going to need to spend? How much more can we realistically afford to spend if we aren’t anywhere near to where we should be competitively in terms of European football? I’ve said it time and time again, Winstanley and Stewart both have to go, they are at the top of the food chain for footballing operations. Their targets, transfers, negotiating…. out of their depth considerably.

"“We thought Chelsea [was] frankly an asset, a business that was not terribly well managed on the football side, sporting side or promotional side" ~ Behdad Eghbali

Sheer arrogance. I always go back to this quote when the team is in the mud these days.

Eat humble pie.
