Chelsea's assistant first team coach Rui Faria has been banned for six matches, the Football Association has announced.

"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Chelsea coach Rui Faria has been given a six-match stadium ban with immediate effect, subject to any appeal, after he admitted two breaches of FA Rules," read a statement on the FA's website on Thursday.

"The first breach was that Faria used abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official during Chelsea's game against Sunderland on 19 April 2014. The second breach was that his behaviour following the match referee's request that he leave the technical area amounted to improper conduct.

"Faria, who requested a non-personal hearing, was also fined £30,000 and warned as to his future conduct."

The FA have done it again! Utterly pathetic to hand Faria a 6-match STADIUM ban just because of the words he used and aggressive behaviour shown. If it was a touchline ban, then fine but stadium ban?! Pardew, who headbutted a player, got a 7-game ban but only 3 of those were stadium bans!

I could understand a touchline ban, but a 6 game stadium ban because he was pissed off with the referee for sending him off? Fuck me.... they never cease to amaze me the F.A! Bunch of fucking muppets!!

So banned for 1 less game than what Pardew got for headbutting a player? Pardew's was 3 stadium and 4 touchline....meh. At this point I'm past caring what the FA does in regards to us.

Or the guy who did a "reverse" Nazi salute? Go figure.

Reckon Rui is taking the hit for Jose's post match comments too, which they could do absolutely nothing about since it was just sarcasm. It'll be absolutely ridiculous if Jose gets a ban, now. Then we''ll have ample proof that the FA has an agenda against Chelsea.

Interesting thought. And probably you are right. They're gonna look ridiculous banning Jose from matches - so they had to ban someone :)

But really. Atletico's fitness coach for actually trying to hit a referee got 2 matches touchline ban. Sure different leagues, different rules, but 6 matches stadium ban is...

We have someone in our stuff to lead the pre-match warmup instead of Rui, right?
