"I had other offers but Mourinho is Mourinho"

DISGUSTING POST ,,only a Hammer or Scouser would call Lampard that ...... I would get banned for using the term that would accurately describe you

I can't even fault him... he's been absolutely spent... exhausted, overplayed. We all know stamina was never his forte, we should have tried to rotate him a bit more... even if that means playing Mikel... he's way too valuable (tactically our most important player) for us to overplay him like that. He needs a rest.

If I was Real Madrid, ManU or Arsenal, I would do whatever it takes to sign this guy. Matic is exactly what many top teams in today's football need. We have to make sure he is not overplayed now or otherwise our season is over.

His performance against tottenham was terrible because he was made to man-mark erikson. I watched parts of the game again and he was practically made to follow him all round the pitch when we were defending. Big mistake

Eriksson took him out of the middle to ivanovics side and the whole center of our midfield was wide open. Even oscar had to come back to the middle to mark Kane to no avail.

He's being overplayed, simple as.

No need for him to play tonight. Ramires' energy on the counter-attack and as part of a high-pressure system would have been more suited. Mikel bossed a midfield in a UCL final, he can do the job well enough. Having the two of them in there was mental, they almost got in each other's way. It's called a double pivot for a reason; one player sits, one player marauds. Doesn't work when both sit. It causes mayhem defensively as neither shows any sense of being proactive in closing people down. Invites so much pressure onto the defence.

Yeah, very poor and not for the first time. He was poor against Spurs and Southampton too.

He had a poor game and ended up with 7 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 clearances, 1 blocked shot and 100% aerials won. Imagine how much work he had to do. Today was not a good day.

His positioning and tactical awareness was off today. Stats can't show it.
