Failing to win tomorrow means out title chance is as good as done. Arsenal is just too good atm, then there is City who is finding their best form. We still need to play Liverpool, Arsenal next in a few weeks so games like this is a must win

Important we win but we should know that with the PL it is too early to write off teams. Say we draw, we are 6 points behind Arsenal. We still have them home and away and if we can do the double over them like last season we in theory will be on level points with them. There is a long way to go and even if we win, draw or lose tomorrow the title race for us is certainly not over.

I don't believe the table should be looked at seriously until mid February, it's round about then the cream starts to rise so to speak, we had West Brom in top 4 this time last year.

Agreed.

But a 7 point gap will certainly have a far greater psychological effect on the players.

Is it worth a shot then? I do look quite young (which I am), it's belieable that I'm 18 (especially since I'm like 6"2) but it's not like "wow this guy is definately 18+".

I was like you when I was your age. I am 6' 2", but I was able to bar hop here in the States & the drinking age is 21. It's about how you handle yourself. If you act like a Grown Ass Man, then you will have not pressure. Are you in London now? I hope you are enjoying the sites. London is the English Speaking Capital of the World!!!

No excuses tomorrow please, Mr Mourinho. Leave whoever is tired on the bench and play whatever our best available team is.

Tough game, but if we want to remain around the top of the league, these are games we should be finding a way to win - no matter how.

Nervous for this one. We are so Jekyll and Hyde (like a lot of other teams) it's a mad mad season. I am hoping for a nice comfortable 2-0 win.

Want Mata to at least get on and would be delighted if Lamps is given a rest (NOT get injured like some have requested).

A win here would give us much needed momentum for the hectic festive period.

If Chelsea are looking to get me an early Christmas gift, then 3 points sounds amazing. You don't even need to wrap it and you wouldn't need to keep the receipt! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!

I think our cm is the reason why we haven't clicked both offensively and defensively, and it will continue to be so unless we bring one or two in.

Centre midfield will be the reason why Chelsea don't qualify for Champions League next season. It all started with re-signing Lampard and continued with not signing another experienced player in the summer, then over-using Lampard as a starter. The fact is, Chelsea's attack has been slowed in previous seasons by its centre midfield --and NOT because of Ramires.

I was hoping that Roy Hodgson would give Fabian Delph a chance in center midfield because it might mean that Lampard doesn't go to Brazil and that he's not coming into training with bright eyes ready to be Jose's starter this season--but I guess that's a dream.

Third season running where Chelsea are desperate to make the top four and I don't think the Blues will cut it this season.

joined 3rd in the league despite the fact that we have played everton, united, tottenham and newcastle away and man city at home in our first 12 league games. plus a winter transfer window to go and more than two-third of the league left. but your analysis is very apt. :fainthv9::fainthv9::fainthv9:

as much as any outcome from today's match wont let hell loose concerning our title ambition...defeat would spell a significant impact on our title challenge...the players need to kip their heads up and put a well decent performance that will spur us into victory...i hate to imagine the sight or scene of defeat...3points be I pray...
