Zola25JT26 0
(with today's one in the top-right hand corner) I remember at the time the media banging on about how history shows that whoever is top at Christmas (and are the first to achieve 50 pts) go on to win it... I was expecting Utd to do Blackburn today, but am relieved to see Freidel keep them at bay. So, next week's game will now be a massive factor in the destination of the title. Now, I am not expecting us to win the title, but looking back on what the table looked like at the half-way mark, I am immensely proud that the lads have clawed their way back into the race. manpe 10,861
Arsenal's downfall and Chelsea's somewhat inconsistent consistency have basically secured us the second place, but the inconsistent consistency has possibly cost us the title, because without the lost points we would be comfortably at the top. Remember, Wet Spam have won ManU on 3 last occasions. Let's hope for the 4th
BlueLion. 21,491
That means that in the 16 games since, United have earned 36 points from a possible 48, whilst we have earned 40 points. Liverpool have gathered 33 in the same time period and Arsenal have recorded 30. That shows we have been the most consistent of the top four teams, and but for last minute equalisers for Villa, Everton, Wigan and Spurs, we'd be five clear at the top.
