🇬🇭 Christian Atsu

Anyone know his play style or can post a video of him playing? I believe I have seen a little bit in U21 world cup but that was not enough

I've seen him playing for both Porto and Ghana in AFCON. He is Xerdan Shaqiri 2.0 Black Edition. Two or three inches taller than Shaqiri, but they both have the same attributes: great dribbling skills, quick feet, they are both fast and furios and Atsu's long range shots are quite impecable at times, missiles reaching their target. Top bargain!

Porto wanted to get rid of Atsu for some time . no logic to get him again on a loan. x)

How come? He must be a good prospect if Chelsea are buying him.

Abramovich should buy Vitesse :D

I think its illegal to own two football clubs

He didn't want to extend his contract, so they wanted to get rid of him this summer in order to still get a transfer fee for him. He would've been a free transfer next summer otherwise.

And no, it's not illegal. Giampaolo Pozzi owns Udinese, Granada and Watford for example.

Born in Ada Foah, Ghana, Atsu joined Porto at the age of 17, having begun his career at the Feyernoord academy in Ghana. Though he was briefly involved with the first team squad under André Villas-Boas he was soon loaned to top-flight Portuguese side Rio Ave and would spend the 2011-12 season at the club, featuring regularly. Returning to Porto for the 2012-13 season, he went on to make nine starts and eight substitute appearances over the course of the season, scoring once.

On 1 September 2013 Chelsea confirmed that Atsu had signed for the club and would spend the season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem. The fee was reported to be £3.5m. He immediately became a first choice starter in a central attacking midfield position, playing alongside Lucas Piazon and displacing Gael Kakuta from the Vitesse side.

It is a typical future investment the club is hoping to pay-out in the very long term. It can become a superb deal or it can become a non-existing factor in our history. Only time will tell....

However, our first team attacking options are already very young (no one has more than 26), so I find it very difficult for him to break into the team for the next 2-3 years.

We now have Piazon, Atsu and Moses loaned out!
