Badboy 1,526
Oh and MIkel had an absolute stormer today he was incredible ! He give the team so much more steel and he has a good touch in tight areas !
Kojo 4,676
We need to rotate with Ramires like big time, it's why we need another midfielder because Ramires can be contained and teams know how to deal with him. You put enough pressure on Ramires and he will give the ball away, even if you give him space he will more than likely give the ball away.I think he's one of the best ball winning midfielders in the league, he is brilliant at that but as a footballer he is so weak at times. His weak technical ability costs us big time, he ruins the flow within our team. You might think this is just a minor thing but it really isn't, what he does has big impact on the team. He was clearly out best player today.
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
He's not what he used to be, but how can you called him finished when he just put in an incredible performance the last time out against Bayern? He's not an every game guy now. With teams that like to attack down the flank he gets exposed... I love Cole, Always will but I think we need to give Bertrand a few more looks this season... 20 games at least
Blue Warrior 109
All the top teams struggle at Goodison, its a tough hunting ground. We will be back, its a marathon, not a sprint. The lack of clinical finishing has cost us frequently in the past few years. Etoo looked hungry and with a bit more time to gel, there are goals there. No surrender! Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Ah well... I never thought we'd go the season undefeated.(Okay I'm lying a bit)most of the major talking points have been addressed, we need to finish chances, Cole and Schurrle were poor, we have loads of problems in the midfield when teams press us.The other things I think need to be brought up is Eto'o needs to score the next game he plays. Not because I think he'll get shook but because we need to know we can rely on him to deliver with some regularity. Thought he was good today, not great... excellent movement and passing, sub par finishing. If Mata isn't making incisive passes and threatening the back 4 he's largely useless out there. I hate to say it but its true, he needs to find other ways to have an impact on the game. He doesn't even create space for others... Its early but I think he's gonna have a hard time in this system.Hazard really has to start asserting himself earlier. He came on a bit later but for much of the 1st half he had no impact he needs to get more involved in the game as it will free up space for others later. He was triple teamed for much of the 2nd half had he gotten that sort of attention in the first half we would've had more opportunities. Someone said this earlier and I believe it to be true, when Hazard is attracting 3 defenders there has to be someone open and nobody came to utilize the space. Too many people ball watching.Loved the substitution of Cole for Torres though I thought what was missing was someone in a deeper role who could move the ball quick. Ramires and Mikel were good today but when Everton began pressing in the 2nd half we didn't have anyone in the middle of the pitch to move the ball quickly. DeBruyne needs to be given a chance in this role I believe and a game where we're chasing it would've been ideal.Early days. Frustrating results. Decent play but nothing scintillating. We need to have more endeavour in attack and that starts with Hazard for me.

Blue Warrior 109
Wheres the love? Mikel was reliable and operated with his usual tidy play, that goes unnoticed. The strikers and attacking midfielders have to take the hit today. The defense was solid but switched off at the worse time. Good results in the next two games and people will forget Everton. Blue Warrior 109
Bastien Schweinsteiger is hands down the best defensive holding midfield player for me. Mikel will hopefully start turning some heads. We will be back. No surrender. Its how you react to adversity. No surrender.

English Freak 456
As for the game, credit to Everton...Martinez finally gets to utilise his ability with a solid group of players. These are the sorts of games that end up costing you the title.United, City & Spurs all strengthened their CM/DM positions..while Chelsea decided to buy another attacking midfielder. Amblève. 4,995
Something I really don't get - why would you take off players who provide you width when you're down 1-0?! If anything you should bring on more players who can put in crosses so you can widen the pitch even more. United have done this for years and they've been proven successful with strategy. Strike 7,489
and by taking off Mata and Schurrle, it left Hazard with way too much to do. Very often he was taking on the Everton defence alone
Shane 2,275
Just irritates me. Just because we lost it means we were shit. NO not at all. We were a clinical striker from winning comfortably and just blew so many chances. Schurrle the worst culprit but i fucking swear, we play like that again and we'll fucking hammer someone and everyone will say how amazing we were. We lost and congrats to Everton but the scoreline doesn't show the true reflection of the game at all, not even slightly. Everton won 1-0 and they were magnificent according to Jamie, bullshit-on the fence-backs both teams-knows fuck all-Redknapp. So then surely the team with 22 shots and close to 70% possession must have been amazingly stunningly magnificent. We all know scorelines are the most important thing but come on guys, come on give your team some fucking credit for fighting all the way and coming back again and again and again to try and get the goal. We tried everything today and unfortunately we came up just a bit short. Down to bad finishing and bad luck, that is all. Not because we were shit. We'll be back. This. Fuck it, one loss isn't going to ruin our season, we'll be back. This is fucking Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, so for all you plastic fucking fans, grow some balls and stop whining like little bitches when we lose one game to Everton for fuck sake. And another thing I seen getting thrown around on here, the word 'Pathetic'.How fucking dare people call 11 men who tried and tried and tried today, and ran their heart out for that fucking blue shirt that people like Matthew Harding died for to make sure it had pride in it, how fucking dare people call our team pathetic because we lost one game to Everton. Go fuck yourselves and go support someone else if your not going to respect the team.Everyone seems to be a fucking manager these days, I'm suprised alot of people on here haven't got the Chelsea job with all their tactical knowledge. It annoys me because the idiots give the forum a bad name when it does have some fantastic posters who know their stuff./Rant. Barbara 15,149
Why??Hazard is the player with more consistent voting in our MOTM poll. It really doesn't matter what he does in the matches, he'll always have at least 15 votes - regardless of how invisible he might be. I don't know what people take into account - and I don't mean Belgians here, as normally there are votes for Eden from all over. It makes no sense in my head. He's doing a good amount of nothing for us - with a few exceptions - since the season began and if you check the others polls he had certainly at least 15 votes in each of them. It's not even that sometimes he does play well, but how in all of our matches this season there were players who had clearly much better matches than him but he's still always voted expressively every single time - for someone that so far had one good match, one so-so and three completely forgettable matches with one, at most two moments of shine there's some serious overrating going on.It has to be wishful thinking because everything else is a stretch in my eyes. If anything you should bring on more players who can put in crosses so you can widen the pitch even more. United have done this for years and they've been proven successful with strategy. @Strike also said the same, and sorry to disagree, but which match did you guys watch? Oscar for Mata did nothing to our width as we changed the players in the center and when Lampard entered Ramires moved to the right wing. Maybe going with Kevin in a direct exchange would have been better, but don't give me this width BS. Ramires was in the RW at all times once the subs were done.Did it work? No. But Mata was completely useless and André while one of the players who created more for us was in a bad day technically - so much for creating and not capitalizing. I said during HT and I'll repeat it: I would have brought Torres for Schurrle and let Samuel move to the right - where he likes to play and where he created a few things for us today. And then I added: if Torres plays badly it'll just be another guy who had a poor day for us. At the end of the day Lampard, Oscar and Torres were just as bad as the rest of team technically. The whole team tried, they fought, they worked hard, but their last touch was just poor throughout the whole match. Also, I'm just disagreeing with you guys, I don't want to fight and I'm not saying you don't have the right to think this way, but it's hard for me to understand someone say we were without wingers and lost width when Ramires was presenting himself to play in the right from the moment Lamps came in. It was yet another case of players lacking quality, but that's the beginning and the end of the problem in my eyes.
