"Unfortunately, my injury may not allow me to be there. Can I get fit enough? Time will tell. I can't say anything but I will work to be there."I could have played for PSG when Luis Fernandez was the coach. He bought me dinner but the clubs didn’t find an agreement.Asked if he could yet join the Ligue 1 champions, Eto'o replied: "As a fan, maybe, but not as a player."Leonardo has talked to me about coming to Paris but it did not happen and it's a shame because I would have liked to play for PSG."Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was overheard in February joking about Eto'o's age, something which the in-form striker has since mocked with some creative goal celebrations, and the 33-year-old insists that there is no problem between him and his boss."My 'problem with Mourinho'? Don't talk about it," he continued."I score goals. I have not stopped doing it but I cannot do that if I stay on the sidelines. Even though I am old, I still know how to score. The 'old man' celebration against Tottenham had nothing to do with Mourinho.""This is a difficult question," Eto'o said when asked what makes the Portuguese different to his previous managers. "There is something in his approach to a match that the others don't have but I cannot say because we want to win the Champions League."He becomes someone else in the build-up to matches. Like any human being, he sometimes loses his mind. He proved it sometimes like when he did it with me [by calling me old] but he takes all the pressure on himself." Popular Post! petre.ispirescu 4,928 Posted March 24, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted March 24, 2014 translateMostly, he talks about Guardiola being a coward and that he never had the courage to talk to him face-to-face. He said Guardiola was a decent player, not a great one. Talks about some pre-season games in the US where Guardiola left him on the bench with minutes before the game (I think) and about Guardiola being the reason he left Barcelona. He also recalls that moment when the two of them met again (when Eto'o was playing for Inter) - Guardiola saw him in the tunnel, before the game and said nothing to him, treated him like a stranger, and then after the game, when the cameras where on Guardiola, he came to Eto'o and shook his hand. Love that picture where Guardiola shakes Etoo's hand and Henry has a smile on his face. Hilarious Eto'o also said to the BeIN presenter: "Look at Henry's face!"Also something about Yaya Toure hating Guardiola too (I think)My french is poor and a translation would be welcomed though. Shane 2,275
When I think of Eto'o a smile comes to my face. Fucking love him, really hope he gets another year and he's definatly going on the back of my shirt. Would get him for Cameroon in the World Cup only a Drogba Ivory Coast shirt is a must! haranr
Sidzeret 2,257
It's been a case every year now- one player proves me wrong even single season. This time it's Eto'o- BIG TIME. Get well soon. ZOS and haranr
CHOULO19 24,332
Whatever thing he has said, he is alright: Guardiola was an idiot to treat Eto'o like that, Eto'o a guy who was (is) a legend for FC Barcelona and who, along with Messi and Iniesta, was the star of the best season ever for the club (2009 Treble).Swapping him + a lot of money for a weaker player of the same age?? CRAZY, TOTALLY CRAZY.it is exactly as if here, some crazy manager, dared to treat a legend for Chelsea like Didier, when in his prime, as a complete mister nobody, kicking him out of the club.Guardiola is an absolute idiot, no matter how much he wins.Dude, I was just starting to really like him, did you have to remind me about that?! petre.ispirescu 4,928
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1oXYcptrx4Also here, in the first five minutes of the interview he keep saying "Hazard, Hazard, Hazard, Hazard". What is he saying about Eden? Is it something about the way he is training or what? Can't understand.Where are the belgians when you need them the most? Hamon 103
Dude, I was just starting to really like him, did you have to remind me about that?! Sorry, you're right, but it was necessary to prove my point: I obviously think we would have all been rightfully mad if something like that happened here regarding Drogba. That's what I was meant to say. Steve 10,227
Quickly becoming one of my favourite players. Still can't get over how old he is and I really hope he gets another year on his contract. Without him we would not be where we are in the CL or the League.
