This time I'd rather blame the service to him or the lack of it. Can't go on blaming our strikers forever. His movement was superb and unlike torres has always been better compared to the opposition striker in his two games so far so i think its the service that is lacking.

He was lively, great movement and leadership, I saw him talking to a few players, giving them a few pointers. He is also much quicker than I expected.

His final product was missing last night though. Great turns on the ball but either the shooting or passing were not on near the box.

The problem is, if you look at my earlier posts, i gave him the benefit of the doubt but again Eto'o was very weak. I HOPE he will improve but analyising his performance last night, he looked confused and never was going to score. We don't have the time to wait, we were humilated last night, and against Everton, sadly in this buisiness we need success pretty quick.

Actually you sometimes need patience. We've been chasing instant success to appease a certain type of fan for too long....time to relax a bit.

aaah, I remember being critized for saying eto'o doens't add anything to the squad, and people told me I knew nothing about him despise watching 70 anzi matches the last 3 years. Eto'o is shit, and jose isn't the right trainer for chelsea as it its now.

Start the hate!

I think Eto'o will be a good addition to our squad as soon as he gets to adapt with the Premier League type of football and his teammates. He still needs some time, though and even if I don't like it, I will say it: Torres is a better option for us, at the moment. Against Bayern and today we were clearly more dynamic with him on the field. Even if he doesn't shoot too much, he knows the group and the group knows him.

Let Eto'o play against Swindon and Steaua, but Torres should be on the pitch on WHL on Saturday.

The Eto'o situation is simple imho. No service=no goals. Apart from two chances against Everton(one of which came solely through an Everton mistake - not like he received a killer pass) can anyone really remember him at any point having a chance he should have done better with? What chance and against who? There simply aren't any. Our strikers are simply not getting through balls getting fed into them, and our midfield are not creating chances for them. Let's not forget Eto'o is not the only one who hasn't scored a league goal yet. Anyway so far it seems like Jose is trying to use him in a deeper role than a traditional striker which further hinders his goal scoring opportunities.

I say leave it till he misses chances that he clearly should have scored like Torres did over his first few years with us, and then make conclusions about his worth.

Oh great, we're back to the "no service" debate.

OMG, the social cycle theory was right, history does repeat itself!!

If he gets the chances, he'll score the goals. People should wait till he squanders a few clear goal scoring opportunities before making up their mind on whether he can take them for us consistently over the course of the season.
