BlueLyon 9,359
He is better than what people say here IMO, but he will regress and I dont see the point of keeping him for another 3 years. Good luck and thank you for all Willian🙂

Popular Post Superblue_1986 5,183
I said a few times I would have liked to have kept Willian at least another year and wouldn't have had a problem giving him a 2 year deal to retain him. But you can't blame him for leaving for one last big contract. I think Arsenal reportedly offering £220k per week and 3 years is madness personally. They may get a good year out of him next season and he could be a good rotational player perhaps thereafter but as his physical abilities start to decline I think they'll be left to regret what they've done over the last 12-18 months of that deal. He's been a good servant though. Was always in Hazard's shadow here and I was always personally a bigger fan of Pedro who was the more clinical player of the two but he's been a good player and at times, stepped up this season when we needed him to be the experience in our attack. As usual with the recent spate of Chelsea to Arsenal signings, we've had his best years and Arsenal will get the twilight of his career at the top. Once again I think it shows where both clubs are in the food chain at present.

Superblue_1986 5,183
On a side note too, I think if we sign Havertz that will be it for our attack going into next season as the likes of Werner, Havertz, Mount are all versatile and can all play wide if needed. It does mean that it presents a huge opportunity for Hudson Odoi. Pulisic will need to be rotated at times because he is susceptible to injury and the likes of Ziyech and Werner may need time to adapt to the league. CHO needs to grow up and realise his potential. There should be a chance next season for him to become an important player and it's up to him to take that.

Arsenal have no salary discipline no wonder they never have the big transfer dosh to toss out (other than the foolish £72m on Pepe)

Thats one of the things which goes in his favor ... very few injuries specially on someone who relies on pace. Now it is upto Arsenal if they break him or if he survives them. Pizy 15,869
Will be solid but unspectacular for them next season. Just like he was here. He's not a De Buryne or Salah who we will watch for a rival every weekend and curse that we let him go. He'll play a blinder every once in a while and be average most of the time.
