Surely no high line but obviously also no medium block. we are blocking channels and other players from receiving, trying to take over the pass. also noticed that our players tend to create sort of a "cage" and get nearer the player with a ball with each step. Not a high line, but high pressure. I'd say it's a medium/flexible block with high intense pressing. Defensively we're not too deep and not too high, just about right I'd say. The pressing is really helping us regain the ball as well before it gets to the medium block. Van Ginkel and Ramires are OWNING that midfield. Barbara 15,149 Posted August 2, 2013 Share Posted August 2, 2013 I think Lukaku had some issues tonight...Oscar was very good at moments, he was everywhere Cambiasso went in the first 15-20 minutes, but it seems to me he got tired (overall) quite quickly - which is more than expected.Eden had his moments, but he's still working to find his best shape.Moses was really good - then again from time to time he is good. What he misses the most is consistency to continuously play like thisOverall good job from defense with a few mistakes here and therevan Ginkel and Ramires is the highlight of this. Lukaku has done well down the channels - he's being double marked most of the time...Defence looks better - Ash looks a little wobbly... Poor old Ramires is getting smashed to bits again...Looks like we have some luck back for this season - nice penalty ref All in all - pretty positive - next goal decides it - them, game on - us game over!!!
