While Chelsea are believed to be in talks with Manchester United striker-Wayne Rooney, Gonzalo Higuain reveals Jose Mourinho wants him at Chelsea.

Gonzalo Higuain has expressed his wish to leave Real Madrid and has been linked to Chelsea's London rivals, Arsenal most of the summer and also to Chelsea's former manager, Rafa Benitez at Napoli. According to reports in Spain, Gonzalo Higuain claims his former manager, Jose Mourinho who in his three seasons at the Bernabeu used Higuain quite regularly, is interested in bringing him to Chelsa.

"Mourinho wants me there," Higuain is quoted as saying by AS.

Real Madrid are not willing to sell their star for less than 40 million euros (£34.5 million pounds). This should be well within Chelsea's spending budget.

This also provides Chelsea another alternative rather than signing Rooney.

Somehow I think this is more of a publicity stunt to get Arsenal to pay his full buy-out clause. Jose wanting to bring Higuian here makes absolutely no sense. He didn't even pick him at Madrid!
