Barbara 15,149
Given the way we've been playing lately, I think it's very important that he regains form and starts receiving more chances.Schurrle is the kind of player we don't have in the team, at his best his a powerful weapon now that we have someone like Cesc that spots his runs. He's an important asset and I hope he gains the RW position in a couple of months. Also, he's yet another example of player that his gives all, he never stops trying. As we now know he was nursing a disease lately, maybe that's why he became suddenly so selfish and was trying a thousand shots by match.Yesterday he had a chance to shoot, and he chose to pass to Drogba (IRRC). He was never selfish, and I was surprised to see him over-shooting everything, but maybe it was because he knew he had some limitations and decided to take the thing he does better instead of going for the pass. When you know you have physical issues, you try to make things happen faster. It's normal reaction. You go for the kill earlier. kellzfresh, communicate and Sidzeret
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Who would you sell/get rid of to buy Reus in the RW position, or keep all 3 and bench 2?
Ainsley Harriott 2,732
Stevie Wonder could teach him a thing or two about vision. Jeez. Mufassir08

Jeez.I just can't trust him to start games, especially away from home at this moment in time. You never know what to expect from Andre and that's what worries me the most about him. CHOULO19 24,332
Inconsistent. Even during a single game like tonight he seems to have good and bad spells.Needs to stop worrying about scoring goals and start worrying about performing consistently. Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted December 17, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2014 come on, guys, cut him some slackHe had a somewhat serious illness that prevented him from playing and training properly. He's getting on his feet. He's always been an useful player for us and he'll continue to be. He just needs time to find his best form again. I can see progress compared to the last COC match. He isn't as selfish as people are making him out to be... he looked for his teammates on many occasions tonight, and he went for his shots as he should in others. Nothing wrong there. I think he isn't on great form yet but it's understandable given what he's been through health wise dUMB, dkim2, The Skipper and 2 others
Popular Post! Sheva. 5,373 Posted December 17, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2014 He can play shit and score. Willian can play amazing and actually not contribute anything in attack. DH1988 1,348
Always feel like when he gets the ball now it's always about how he can score no matter what position he's in. Illness or not, not liking what I'm seeing lately hopefully he learns to pass a bit more. commilin

TheOneChan95 225
I really don't recall him being this selfish last season. I wish he would be more team oriented but as long as he scores it doesn't matter so much

nyikolajevics 2,700
I really don't recall him being this selfish last season. I wish he would be more team oriented but as long as he scores it doesn't matter so muchI think that's because he hardly ever plays so when he gets a chance he tries to prove his class. Remy is selfish too, so is Salah. Benchwarmers try to impress hard. TheOneChan95

You never know what to expect from Andre and that's what worries me the most about him. True, I thought this year his decision making would improve, but I haven't seen anything new on that regard. He seems to think that only goals impress, when sometimes a simple pass would suffice... Classical case of trying too hard, I guess.
RoyalBlues 4,050
At least JT and Matic celebrate with him.
Madmax 9,219
The only game I remember being really frustrated by his decision making this season was Bolton. Yesterday was completely natural for a fringe player who's desperate to show more of himself so I don't get the overreaction. Eggman 118
Schurrle has his place in the squad: he provides depth and he scores easily. That's a trait worth having.Other than that, he has the most awful style I've ever seen, which for me is hard to live with. Everything he does looks ugly, even plain running. Thus: if we can replace him with someone who offers the same (good runs down the channels and goal-scoring) but with a bit more flair and easier on the eye, I wouldn't hesitate.I'm shallow like that. Shakez 755
At least JT and Matic celebrate with him.Drogs and Cesc where visibly mad at him during certain stages of the game. I get that a bench player plays more selfish, but his contribution to our overall game is really bad. Looks clumsy all the time, and is not suited for the one-touch attacking game in the final third. Hope he improves, but i rather see him gone at the end of the season so we can bring in fresh blood. Moustradamus
DYC. 7,542
I honestly don't think he's selfish. He just suffers from serious tunnel vision when in and around the box. And he loves to shoot, that's always been his game. Whereas with Hazard and Willian, you wonder why they don't take a shot multiple times during a game.Obviously something he really needs to work on. Become a superstar first before you start going for goal at every opportunity.Someone made a point of him trying to impress the boss, that definitely plays a huge part too.
