"If you hear of interest from Chelsea and a great manager such as Jose Mourinho, you take notice," said Zouma.

"It makes you happy, and it means you are on the right way to the top.

"I am relaxed about all the fuss about me being linked with big clubs, at the moment my focus is on the Under-20 World Cup. We have to try to win that with our generation of good young players."

he is a tank. him , varane and mangala will be frances main centre backs for years to come. you may worry about his age but we would have azpi 24 , luiz 26 and cole 30 something. and mourinho did a great job with varane from 18 years old and turned him into one of the best.

Kurt Zouma: Was not dribbled past on a single occasion in his 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season. Article - http://t.co/8VIj82wTdG

Of course no one can dribble past him, he can just blast the ball from under their feet:

Seriously though, I haven't seen him enough to judge, but when it comes to these "one-season wonders" I'd rather wait to see if he has a similar season next time around.

Saw this guy at the U17 World Cup two years ago and he caught my eye. After that I haven't seen him play but judging by reports he was very good last season despite being only 18 and he was a regular the season before as well. Defenders rarely play this much at such an early age but this guy is a beast physically.

Always nice to get these young players, especially if they're good enough to make an immediate impact, but is Zouma better than Omeruo who is already in our ranks? Sure, Omeruo could be sent on loan to a PL team next season if we got Zouma and then recalled when Terry goes or retires but if we're tight on money I'd say no to signing Zouma because he'd only be a luxury signing and not someone who's absolutely needed. If the money is there to be spent, then I'm all for signing this beast.

After being priced out on mangala I thought there would be more news on this signing, from what I have read aout him he seems to be the real deal even for someone so young. Anyone who has watched him play what do you think is playing style is? More of Terry or more like Luiz/Carvalho?
