A draw should be good enough. I really want to smash them though tbh, because of the great result today. It would mean a 3 point (effectively 4 point gap) with 2 to play. A win vs Aston villa and its game over.

Definitely more of a must not lose game, after today, though hopefully the team don't go out to just play for a draw as that could cause problems.

Posted this in the 'Looking at our last 8 games' thread.

Current league standings:

3. Chelsea - P35 68 points (GD +34)

4. Arsenal - P36 67 points (GD +31)

5. Spurs - P35 65 points (GD +18)

Remaining league matches:

Chelsea - Tottenham(H), Aston Villa(A) and Everton(H)

Arsenal - Wigan(H) and Newcastle(A)

Spurs - Chelsea(A), Stoke(A) and Sunderland(H)

Now that we have beaten United, all we need now is to beat Spurs and we would have sealed a place in a place in the Top 4. We will then be 6 points clear of them with 2 games left and have a way better GD. They are not gonna overturn that massive goal difference of 17 (assuming we beat them by 1 goal at least). Only need 1 point then from the Villa or Everton game, if want to be perfectly safe. If not, then we must at least avoid defeat here and maintain that 3 point gap.

On the other hand, IF Spurs win on Wednesday, then Arsenal will drop down to 5th! That said, it would obviously be best for us to just beat Spurs and seal a Top 4 finish, be done with it. Don't want to experience any nervy and jittery moments in the final 2 games. Can also then focus on the Europa League Final.

The first goal here will be absolutely crucial. And we can become the only team in the league this season to do the double over them.

"I can't stand Chelsea either, but remember they've become bigger than us because they have an owner who puts money into the club unlike ours. I said at the time that when Chelsea got RA it was fantastic for them. A lot of people said that we were better off with ENIC, how massively, totally and utterly wrong they were, IMH.

If only RA had chosen us, what a fantastic decade it would have been, Instead of one Lge Cup and no new stadium so far."

SO FUNNY.

AVB is back, Spurs players full of motivation for the last season's KO and ready to go for it, as they have to win. This is going to be the most important match of the season really. We can kill their hopes once again but moreover, we can decide our own destiny. Come on boys!!

Hopefully Hazard will be ready. Well rested and ready to go.

Mike Dean will be officiating this game, in case anyone do not know about it yet.

EDIT: Incidentally, he also officiated the reverse fixture at WHL back in October.
