McEachran et Chalobah! An analysis.

Tonight's U21 match really highlighted the difference between Josh and Nathanial. Chalobah is the kind of physical presence you want in your midfield. Very dominant and knows when to pick his forward runs. His defending was very good as well.

Josh on the other hand is the kind of player who controls the tempo brilliantly. His best asset is and has always been his passing. Great accuracy and vision that is matched by none. He's not as aggressive as Nathanial and is more disciplined (although I'd like to see him given a bit more freedom to go forward). His technical abilities are also outstanding. His off the ball movement was excellent tonight (especially in the first 30 mins).

Two very different players, and there is no reason what so ever that both can't make it here.

So,,I assume that Josh is DLP type and Chalobah can develop as DM type. than both of them can covering each other as Double Pivot......

I'd love to see a pivot of Josh and Chalobah. I've been saying for a while that the type of player we need next to the DM should be exactly like Josh.

EDIT: For example, Josh's best games here at Chelsea were when he played next to Oriol against Everton and Fullham in the League Cup last season. He was given freedom to roam and license to go forward and in both games he was probably the best man on the pitch.
