Why do we wear Blue?

as the title says why do we wear Blue/Royal blue?. Is there any reasons behind it or was just picked??

many early strips were hoops or stripes ,,,we were formed later by which time single colours were the fashion ... most common ,,,red or blue ..

We don't allow red in our house, not even on the walls or carpets or clothing. The only red that is in our house is my Wilko uniform, that's it. Well i do have one McKenzie t-shirt and an England away shirt but fuck red. Why are Chelsea blue? Sure it can be easily found out on the internet which is exactly where we are right now.
