I had to go to 5 different places to find a place showing the game, thank fuck we won!

Was I the only one worried with the lineup or when it got 2-1?

KTBFFH! :blue scalf:

i had a deja vu of another 2-0 lead getting screwed. and i could have bet that it would have been kone but thank the almighty that we dint bottle it today. plus i almost shut off the tv when rafa was making that horrible of benayoun for cahill and shifting luiz to defense and rambo to mid. for me that was the defining moment of the match when the fat idiot was unable to screw us up with his substitutiom.

i dont understand any other possible better way in which a player can actually show a club and its board and its owner that he deserves a contract.

LAMPS deserves a bloody contract and match after match he is showing that he is worth it. we are killing ourselves with this stupid decision of not extending his contract.

Signing Lamps to a new contract would be nice, but it has to fit in with the club's priorities and right now we need a deep-lying playmaker more than we need to re-sign Lamps. If both these things can be achieved at the same time then he's a great option to have coming off the bench.

Agreed. If there's one player in the world who truly plays his heart out, shows ultimate loyalty, and bleeds blue...it's Frank motherfucking Lampard. So many players come across as entitled and arrogant, like the world owes them a huge contract for being able to do stepovers. To not offer Frank another contract is unbelievable. He wants to be here, plays his heart out, and gets results on the pitch. How many players can that be said about? Age is just a number.

What are the club's priorities?

They sacked two talented young managers in AvB & Di Matteo...decided to buy a 50 million dollar spanish flop..and then they go and hire a former Liverpool manager who called our fans plastic.

To build success for the future. AVB had to go and Robbie isn't a top-class manager. That doesn't mean we should've hired Benitez but there weren't many other options.

And when we signed Torres, he wasn't a flop. We didn't decide to sign a flop - that would just be thick.

Where do you get your facts? Torres was the equivalent of $75 million not $50 million - or did you mean pounds sterling? AvB was screwed by Lampard and Terry - not the board. DiMateo was lucky last year and it showed this year. He is too inexperienced. Benitez never mentioned the word "plastic" seven years ago when he made reference to "the supporters of some teams lacking passion". Yes he was manger of LFC, you got that right, and he defeated Chelsea and Mourinho in two CL semi finals as well as winning one of those finals.

age is an important number. i can understand why some club would be trying to get rid of a 35 year old box to box midfielder but this is , as you said, FRANK fucking LAMPARD... time and again he has shown that he has still got what it takes to be counted not only as the best in the CHELSEA team but best all over the world. losing someone like him would be a catastrophe to the club.

forget for once that lamps is 35 going to be 36 next year. just answer one question, is he or is he not our best midfielder right now? game in and game out he is showing that their is a lot left of him. he is showing that he can do more than just be a super sub worth 100k+ a week. we click with him.resigning lamps IS as important as buying a deep lying playmaker.

No. But he's the only one of his kind, and our squad really needs him. Hopefully with Luiz back (and Mikel returning later), Lampard can get more rest between games and perform at his best level when called upon.

Is he our best player in that midfield two? Probably. But that's not a good thing considering the problems we've had in that position both this season and last season. We need to get a Modric or someone similar in so that this team can compete at the top-level.

I think Lamps is capable of doing that against the likes of Stoke or Wigan (but admittedly he struggled against QPR, Southampton, Swansea and Reading) and maybe even Arsenal for 45 minutes but we can't go forward relying on him to be the go to guy in the big games anymore.
