a lot of what happens in this match would depend on what team FSW picks for the match. also the team should not be complacent. we should remember their was no rodriguez or lambert in the fa cup and with these 2 players, southampton are a far greater threat. my team would be

cech

azpi iva terry cole

luiz lamps

MAZACAR

BA.

If our recent home record are anything to go by, this could turn out to be another dodgy game and us getting the wrong result.

Hopefully that doesn't happen because the win over Stoke will mean nothing if we don't win here. We simple can't afford to blow this like we did against QPR after beating Everton. Win this and we'll move 4 points clear of Spurs(4th) and potentially 7-10 points clear of Arsenal(depending what happens tomorrow against Man City). And it's also worth remembering that we have Arsenal at the Bridge next Sunday too. So, getting a win would be absolutely crucial.

Play our best team (within reason), so that is obviously demba ba and we should have enough... But as everyone is saying, based on what we seem to keep doing we shouldn't take anything for granted. Get the win, and make the gap bigger to the teams below us.

To rest Ba and have him ready for Arsenal and Swansea.

I don't think we need too yet, he never really missed a game for newcastle and still was consistently good. Our schedule is a bit more hectic but he is used to playing europa on thursdays etc... For me i would play our best players then if we have a 2 goal advantage at some point then take him off for torres... Rather than playing fernando then possibly digging a whole for ourselve which means he has to come on to try and dig us out off anyway.

Cech, Azpi, Cahill, Terry, Bertrand, Ramires, Luiz, Piazon, Oscar, Marin, Ba......the squad is thin and key players need a rest like Torres who scored against Arsenal, jk

I hope you mean that Piazon starting is a joke too right?
