Isco would be perfectly happy to play Cup games and random EPL games only to be a great backup option to Mata, while he plays every single game for Malaga. Why would he bother?

He is just a robotic FIFA player that does not feel anything and will happily wait to always give 100%, right?

He wouldn't be 'back up' for cup games or random EPL games. He'd be in direct competition with Mata for a starting spot. There's every chance he'd play better than Mata and even displace him.

Our team lacks competition for places. There's no good just having Marko Marin's laying around. They're not competition for Hazard, Mata etc. They just give them a rest. We need a player who tries to displace Mata, so both players raise their game.
