Fernando Torres

Belgiannutt,

Look, I understand where you are coming from and I will probably won't be able to change your mind but I will explain myself and we will agree to disagree at the end.

Personally, I never got the feeling that Torres is being lazy or not working for the team. Doesn't matter how shit he was, I didn't have the feeling he is doing a "Balotelli" on the pitch, walking or something like this. Yes, he was bad, again, no doubt about it, but IMO he never gave up and I understand if you don't agree with me, it's legitimate.

My last post was exaggerated but it was just because I can't stand people that call him cancer or whatever, it's just wrong. I'm no "Torres lover" and I think he has to go, but yet again, you are not really trying to understand my point. Torres is not a "special" player for me because of his great football achievements for us, far from it. Actually, as everyone agree, he was shit for us and will always be remembered as such, but I will never forget how happy I was when he scored against West Ham or when he scored that goal agains Barcelona (and if you say you were not buzzing after that goal you are lying). He is a special player because I will remember him and all the controversy that surrounded him.

And again, I think he didn't embarrassed us, I truly don't. I don't care how shit a player is if he really tries on the field, if he runs and if he wants to be better. And again... you may not agree with me, but that's ok.

"the fact that his goals at Nou Camp and Amsterdam were absolutely immense for us"

What ? His goal at Amsterdam yes but at Nou Camp ? His goal didn't change anything. We would have still gone through if he didn't score that goal and there was only about 2 minutes left to play. Immense my ass.

Of course it was immense, fuck man, 95% of us were certain he would miss.

he works hard most of the time

It's slowly becoming a new legend - or a new way to say that Torres is not as bad as he looks.

I can remember only 3 matches form last season when he really worked hard and tried to do his best, but I can name at least 10 games where he was walking instead of running when we went to attack, ignoring his companions, going back before our attack was finished - and I'm not even talking about his attempt/score percentage here.

If every game he looked like he is realy trying I'm sure this thread would've run differently.

Torres in the PL for Chelsea

2010/11 - 14 apps 1 goal

2011/12 - 32 apps 6 goals

2012/13 - 36 apps 8 goals

2013/14 - 28 apps 5 goals

Total - 102 apps 20 goals

Fuck me, didn't think it was that bad

Im sure he has played 110 PL games.

For perspective Eto'o got nine in twenty one, 11 behind with over 80 games behind, and that is a Eto'o that's a shadow of his former self.

Yeah, perhaps I shouldn't have  Sorry, long day...

The thing is that I truly understand what people like Tomo are saying, but you know, it's now like I hate Bosingwa or Ramires, I do critisize them (and Torres) but I don't feel hate towards them, like many of the fans do towards Torres. The goal at Barcelona is not an excuse, it's just a way for me to try and explain my point of view about this player and the way I feel about him.

The thing what you don't seem to get is its not Torres being shit that bugs people it's his attitude, funny how there's so much animosity towards Torres but Sheva and Ba are widely respected with the Chelsea faithful despite there underwhelming times, have you ever wondered why?

and using his goal at the Nou Camp as a defence pisses me off, no one seems to acknowledge RAMIRES GOT THE GAME CHANGING GOAL or BOSINGWA YES BOSINGWA made a crucial interception that prevented a two on one vs Cech, no its all Torres apparently despite twice nearly undoing 170 minutes off hardwork for us.

Does Bosingwas interception means he should escape criticism for his catastrophic 4 years? does Ramires goal mean we should let him off his bad form the last year?

No to both those answer's, but hey Torres can be as shit ss he wants because we owe him for scoring a goal, the sheer amount of excuses for this guy

another question, where were you when Kalou was getting shit?

people are defending a striker because he scored a goal.. wow

I never hated Bos or Ram .. inover 30 years of supporting Chelsea I dont think I have ever despised

a player as much as I do Torres , Even Bogarde wasnt as bad as we got him for free and no one else would

have taken him .. I did lose all respect for Joe Cole when he went to Liverpool .. You can keep your affection for Torres but dont expect many to share your views

Milan-Torres, it waits for a response from Chelsea: the situation

26/08/2014 - 23:53

Gianluca Di Marzio

Milan, all on Torres. Always chosen to replace the Spaniard Mario Balotelli. The first tip that wants Galliani is precisely El Nino, but only on loan. The high engagement is an obstacle to a possible purchase outright, instead, the player would prefer. Milan have launched a kind of ultimatum to Chelsea, that in the coming hours will have to make a decision. Torres wants to change the air, Milan can be a solution, but only - for now-for one year. The most reliable alternative is, for the moment, Roberto Soldado.Hot hours, AC Milan in the first hunting tip

http://gianlucadimarzio.com/milan/milan-torres-si-attende-una-risposta-dal-chelsea-la-situazione/

I don't know what i would do if Torres declines the loan offer...
