No, they're correct. The goals at least, I have no reference for the assists. But for the goals he has 19 in the PL, 3 in the FA cup, 3 in the League Cup, 9 in the CL, 6 in the Europa League, one in the Community Shield last season, and one in the European Super this season.

19+3+3+9+6+1+1=42 goals.

EDIT: Fixed. Why does the official site has him down for 43 goals, though?

Yeah, I remember one in the FA cup maybe that was a Ramires shot that hit Torres and went in. The official site had it down as a Torres goal, but later the dubious goal committee corrected it to a Ramires goal.

That was more of sarcasm (i might not be good with it). TBH not really interested in know how and from where he scored that many, he has not turn up even since he was bought from Liverpool. The only contribution i m going to remember let say after 10-15 yrs from now is the goal agaisnt Barca and the goal in the Europa final. Period!

If a player is really playing well, we wouldnt need stats to justify the player, thats my opinion.

9 goals in 16 games when he has started this season and has scored in every game he's started since before Christmas. He's been pretty good this season, nowhere near as bad as people are making out.

EDIT: Before people say they were pointless goals, they include: Winner against Southampton away, Winner against Man City, a double against Schalke away, 1 against Bayern Munich and now and important away goal against Galatasaray.

Not saying he's prolific, but come on, you can't argue with the facts: he has been hampered by injury this season but not bad at all when he's started.

Did well last night, blocked of blatantly a few times and as expected the ref gave fuck all. Can't help but think when he is through on goal I feel he is going to miss everytime and he looks so not in control it's worrying. You can't argue with his goal return but as Jose alluded too, our striker situation is not what it should be.
