He always trains as hard as anyone, he always has a smile, he is always close to the young players. He has taught me a lot.t.
Ankit 3,176
Sid Lowe @sidloweWhen Torres says he has had team mates who don't care if they won or lost, I'm not sure that he is necessarily talking about Chelsea btw

gary gordon 1,777
Needs to shut the fuck up until he's blasting them in for fun. As far as I'm concerned, he still has a shit load of work to do. royg, CHOULO19, MetsajCFC and 1 other
Tomo 21,751
He seems to be above the law at this club. Not even Lampard and Terry would have got away with saying they didn't care about results, there would have been about 10 pages worth of uproar if it was any other player, has Kalou ever said that then i wouldn't even want to think, but no we can't criticize Torres for saying he doesn't care about results because he might see this thread and ruin his confidence. Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted October 17, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted October 17, 2012 Not much wrong with what he said in my honest opinion. Any human being wouldn't care as much about their job if they're disillusioned about it. It's human nature. Had Kalou or SFL or Terry or whoever said this after they went through the spell Torres went through I'd understand too. Jase 43,479
I wish he had just keep quiet and do his talking on the pitch instead. It's rather annoying that he has always come out, say things like that to the media and play the victim role! Have said similar things like that in the past! karaclouds and zolayes

How would he feel if RDM decided to be 'honest' as well and said in an interview something like: "Torres has been mostly shit since we bought him. We are currently looking for anybody to take him off our hands."? Superblue, sleazyB, Las7 and 2 others
Las7 951
I'm sure if he talked like that about his National Team he would not be called up again. If he said that at his National Team they don't use him correctly; there are far too many old players who play slowly and don't utilize him correct; he is mainly on the bench when he should be playing(even though the team has just won a major trophy); saying his Team Mates in the National Team don't care about the result when they ain't playing and he feels the same way. You ain't no mind reader Fernando and even if you are it's best you keep such opinions to yourself - and if Kalou had said such a thing he would have been crucified and booed by our fans. He needs to keep his big mouth shut and do his talking on the field this is disruptive to our squad. Imagine Lampard thinking that Torres said that about him right now, would he really want to play too much with a player who has such opinions of his teammates. Superblue 6,372
Yes he would have been better served to not say anything but the press have once again twisted this to try and rock the boat at Chelsea. He actually commented that he had come across players in his whole career who only cared for themselves and not the team. When he was struggling last season he felt like he was turning into that mindset and knew once that happened something needed to change and he needed to 'snap out of it'. The press have taken this that he was talking about the Chelsea squad playing for themselves and not the team which isn't true. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Nothing wrong with what he said. It was brutally honest. This happens to so many players, so why is it a surprise or sin that Torres said it? I was suspecting as much at various points last season. The statement has no tactfulness in it. In my eyes he lost the little respect I had for him, I do support him as a Chelsea player but as a person I dislike him. On the pitch he seems like a weepy kid, that's most of the time whereas sometimes he can offer something to the team. I'm convinced he is the, or atleast, on of the weak-links in our team"chain". Statements like this and pervious ones like "At one point I thought it was a mistake to leave Liverpool" just don't add up and are unprofessional. If you don't want to be here - good bye because hundreds of top footballers would do anything to have their shot. chelseathebest, Jase, BOSS and 3 others
meetdoscar 335
Its best he shuts up his mouth atm bcoz I think our next 10 games will determine if he has a long term future at chelsea. Las7 951
Once again good outside the box, but he is the poorest striker I've seen play for us in ages inside the box. His movement inside the box or better said lack of movement inside the box is extremely disappointing he stands in one spot expecting the ball to hit him in the foot or something. He won't get easy goals like Sturridge's if he is not moving and trying to beat players inside the box and he is awful when he needs to think about how to strike a ball at the goal.Still boggles my mind how we decided that he should be automatic first choice at CFC. blueblood22

He's always laboring a bit when about to get a shot off... and that's all defenders need to stop it.
