Fixing issues to become great

We have some big issues, that need to be fixed eventualy. As team in transition, some people expect too much from our team in this or next season.

Transition period lasts few years to fully repair problems and makes perfect harmony in the team. Real, for example tried to fix their problems too quick and they still lack of many things to be succesfull for several years, despite their La liga last year. This year, they are very bad. Not just Ronaldo, but team as whole, the midfield, the idea of play and Mou have several issues.

We should take step by step slowly and not rush. Sure, we wont win PL or CL right this or next year, but eventualy we could become team that will be on top level for 10 years, like Barca.

Right now, we have lots of problems that should be fixed in 2-3 years, not in one year. Im ready to wait couple of less successul seasons and then see Chelsea with new style, manager that we trust, soul, trust of fans, respect from others and understanding between players. That is most important. Trophies come along by themselves if we achieve all this.

1.) Team needs to gel together. That takes few years, players need to understand each other and know their roles.

2.) Coach that will stay for 3 seasons at least. This will give us proper formation, style of play and players that will be required.

3.) Striker issues. Bringing new striker is obvious.

4.) Fixing defensive errors. It doesnt mean we need to buy new defenders, but to fix current ones and give them proper roles and teach them what exactly to do.

5.) Some creativity in midfield. By buying new CM or try KDB/Mceachran there.

6.) Strenghten our attacking midfield. Our trio looks very unbalanced and lightweight. Buying strong attacking midfielder/winger or making Oscar, Mata and Hazard more balanced (like barca did with Xavi, Iniesta, Villa,...)

7.) Expand our sub-team for better rotation. Including CB, CM and another striker/winger. That will keep us strong when there will be injuries or first team players will be tired. To make good enviroment, subs should play enough time.

8.) Getting new backup GK. Either that will be Cech with Courtois eventualy becoming first choice or we buy someone like Helton (experienced and still in good form, ready to be back-up)

9.) Be patient enough to except our team wont be super great next two years, but what comes then will be well worthy of waiting. RA and fans should both understand that.

10.) Give youngsters chance, we dont need to buy all the players we need, but simply take them from academy (like Feruz, Lukaku, Piazon, Josh, kalas, Chalobah,...)

11.) keep our team balanced with experience-talent. Both should be there, one for future and other to win you games now.

There we go, if we complete this problems, we should turn into world class and respected club that anyone would be afraid.

Heres a major issue: We should get a coach who is experienced and can please Roman with trophies and philosophy. If Roman's not happy, then a manager won't last, simple as fucking that.

The problem is Christ could work the Miracles for us but he would still be gone by Easter

who, in your opinion, may bring bigger success than CL and FA Cup in one season?

Usually managers offer either style or success. Mourinho is a success manager while AVB is a style manager. I don't know where Robbie fits in but it wasn't what Roman wants; both style and success. That is why he so fixiated on Pep Guardiola, in him Roman sees they ultimate manager. A manager that can bring the sleek attacking football and trophies.

I don't agree with Roman, I see Pep's Tiki Taka football too slow and methodical. It's boring to watch, but it's sure as hell efficient. To this day Mourinho has played the best football I've ever seen at all of his managed clubs. I like quick, fast and incisive football, I've mentioned it before and so have many others but Brasil '82 is what every big team should strive towards.

Obviously Roman wants Pep to do it. He won 6 trophies in one season at Barca.. imo we need Mourinho again, Pep can't handle big egos.

The only ego Pep couldn't handle was Ibra, and Ibra has the mother of all egos. Balotelli's gonna catch up to him one day though.

Do we want big egos at our club?

Do we need big egos at our club?

It worked last year where these 'big egos' (Drogba, Terry, maybe Lamps, Ashley) carried the team to success through sheer force of will and a little luck. Personally I'd prefer we built a team and there's every possibility these guys won't be there.

The stars of our team will be the likes of Oscar, Ramires and Mata who are all fairly introverted, quiet guys - typical Guardiola players by all accounts.

True but I think if Roman signs a player with an ego/or a player develops an ego then Pep will struggle to deal with it. If Guardiola was such a classy coach he'd have kept Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Deco etc and explained he wanted to fade them out rather than sell them as they were "big stars with egos", they were more than useful in my eyes. Look at his transfers too... 60 odd million including Eto'o (better player) for Zlatan, the cunt wouldn't even play him in his normal position. Bought Sanchez for nearly 40 million, ripped off as hes not even worthy of a nearly 40 million price tag. Fabergas for 30 odd million, frequently used him, when he did use his used him in a position he'd rarely played. If hes in charge of transfers at the Bridge if we appoint him I honestly think he will get us continuously ripped off or buy players and use them in positions they can't even play like AVB with Lukaku on RW...

In Guardiola' slight defence, he did build the greatest football team that I've ever actually seen play this game we love.

Sure he might have sold Deco and Ronaldinho, but I think he more than made up for it.

True but could he recreate such a thing with a team whose academy is nothing compared to Barcas? Wouldn't bank on it. He'd probably go on a massive spending spree and sign half the Barca B team...
