TorontoChelsea 4,064
On the face of it, it seems like cynical attempt to win Chelsea fans over to him . using a former Chelsea player. Zenden has no managerial experience. However, since Benitze will only be at Chelsea for a few months, it doesn't really matter. The new manager will bring in new assistants as well. Kieran. 6,317
Zenden's goal vs. ManU in 2002 was the first Chelsea goal I ever saw...or maybe the second? I know that Gallas and Zenden scored in a 2-2 draw.Welcome back, Boudewijn!

LDN Blue 7,903
Right.. So when are we appointing Zenden as our next interim manager?
Jase 43,479
Better than having Sammy Lee perhaps...
Slam Dunk 1,442
To me, this is even stranger than the appointment of Benitez in the first place. Welcome back though, Bolo.Have we learned the fate of Steve Holland yet?
Jase 43,479
Have we learned the fate of Steve Holland yet?I believe he's still at the club along with Eddie. No official confirmation whatsoever yet and I'm sure RB would want some assistants who is working with the club that knows the training methods, players etc to help his preparations for the upcoming matches. Suppose they could be part of the back room staff again. Really hope Holland stays.
Tomo 21,751
There hasn't even been any conformation of this on BBC or Chelsea website, the latter still says Eddie and Ste are the assistants.EDIT: yes their has my mistake.
MAF 162
Didnt Zenden work with Cruyff at Barcelona at some point? i thought he was involved in Barca's youth system.. Could be wrong though

Reddish-Blue 2,516
Just looking at Rafa in a Chelsea kit is weird. He's suited to the colour RED not Blue.I'm just glad he's only here as an interim manager.
Ollie 4,400
This all seems so weird and it's getting weirder. Zenden was hopeless for us but at least he was here before this era. I remember his goal against Man Utd, was a belter and a great game too. Remember a nice goal against Bolton too, a lob but he was also in that Sunderland team that humped us 3-0 like 2 years ago and he beat us with Liverpool.... Anyway this is weird, maybe we'll sign Gerrard next to help Torres.
Spike 12,049
Why Zenden?

I cleaned eddies boots at 16 and had the pleasure to play and captain CFC under you both. Thankyou does'nt seem enough"Sounds like Eddie has been sacked.
