Daily Mail actually had a good article asking if the squad has no depth, then why loan out 22 players? 12 more than Arsenal. Namely players like Essien, De Bruyne, Lukaku and McEachran. While the writer recognized many of the loanees are too young, Chelsea could really use the contributions of at least Essien and Lukaku these days.

We dont need one.

The atmosphere wont be decent, it will be fantastic compared to what we have right now. I'm telling you, anyone who comes in will have players and fans united and that is a mighty force. Now everything is so sad, its incredible to see a club, who had the most amazing season of all just half a year ago, losing its identity and supporters.

They (the board and Roman) knew what will happen if they appoint him, and despite everything they did. But it would be better for them to have us on their side as they dont know just when they might need us.

Speaking about ability, hes shown only the ability to lead the club to abyss. What we need is something he will never ever be able to achieve at this club - togetherness, unity, passion, determination and a blue heart. This club has dug its way out of all sorts of problems that way, and that way only.

A bad season and having a unpopular manager shouldn't hinder your support for the club. There are bad times and there are good times, didn't see anyone crying when we won the EPLs, FA cups, UCL etc.

I have read/heard a many arguments that rafa isn't at fault for some of our weak performances. The fault should lie @ the players cause they are well compensated for their positions @ Chelsea, but I have to really disagree w/ that argument. Especially after reading this quote from Ruud Gullit's autobiography -'The coach is at the very center of the whole machinery of putting a team together & getting it to play well'

To me that is the essence of the being the Gaffer. Providing the motivation & energy from the Gaffer. I am not seeing this come from rafadyce one bitnope.gif

Noones disagreeing that he should be sacked -whatever the reason might be- but the timing will be wrong. He will go in the end of the season with us hopefully having enough resources to fund the new manager's hit-list.

No, I never said that. Misunderstanding.

But the fact is that there are a lot of people who will boycott the club, people who are ST holders will refuse to renew their membership, supporters who've been there and seen a lot worse than me personally. Nobody has right to judge those supporters, because everything they do is because they love the club.

Shame on any of our so called "fans" that wouldnt mind keeping Benitez around! Benitez took a series of cheap shots at Chelsea FC and Chelsea fans in highly successful attempts to suck up to Liverpool fans. Now he's paying the price for his toadying up to Liverpool fans and attempted 'mind games.

For gods sake he was brought in for his supposed tactical know how and defensive genius. Where is all of that; we're still handing out goals to everyone and their mothers. And speaking of his tactics he keeps running the 4231 that RDM was criticized for running (In the game against brentford he put out a squad that was better suited for a 433 with Bertrand( Left back) and marin playing as wingers. These are two players who like to hug the the side lines and deliver cross. But instead we played in a 4231 again and they both looked like shit)

RDM was fired for far less and he didn't even have the luxury of a capable striker like demba ba, and had a few key players injured including the back up striker. During the swansea game Rafa put out an injured player in luiz who didn't even make the bench three days prior and now our central midfield is thinner than ever. We're now out of two easy competitions that we should've won, and we keep struggling against weaker opposition. It seams that Rafa is heading in the same direction he did at inter and it just pisses me off.

I would never take the Chelsea job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what. For me there is only club in England, and that’s Liverpool.’

‘We don’t need to give away flags for our fans to wave – our supporters are always there with their hearts, and that is all we need. It’s the passion of the fans that helps to win matches – not flags.’

- Rafa Benitez

The question that most of them ask is who would replace him right now, and it's a totally valid question. It's not a shameful position to take in the slightest.

It's more likely than not that Benitez will be gone after the season. The real question is who'd replace him right away and do we really need a third manager in the same season with possibly fourth taking charge in the summer? Regarding RDM - he had the luxury of having a fresh squad, who he had been training to mold into his gameplay for months. Moreover, he had the support of the fans, which didn't hinder the team performances in Stamford Bridge. He was the man that brought us the long waited UCL, but let's not forget he got us out of the CL due to abysmal group stage performances, we lost two so called finals in the form of Community Shield and Super Cup. So it's not all sunshine and butterflies. Silly thing to question someone's allegiance just because you don't agree with their opinion.

Under DiM Chelsea were not much apart from a few games, this season. Therefore, he had to go & justifiably so.

Under Rafa not much better. The hatred towards him has not helped much either.

Once again, Chelsea´s season gone to pits, I feel.

Not much better? We're considerably worse under Rafa. Our best games (away wins over Arsenal and especially Spurs) were under RDM and our worst games (QPR, West Ham, Brentford, Swansea) were almost all under Rafa. Under RDM we were complaining about losing to Juventus not struggling to draw with Brentford. Based on results, RDM should not have been fired. It's obvious Roman didn't want him as manager, but why he didn't let him stay until the end of the year is beyond me. This would have done a few things.

1) We wouldn't have had Rafa.

2) It would have shown supporters that RDM got at least some time to show what he could do. Had RDM had the sorts of results Benitez is having, and got the entire year to do them, supporters would have understood his being dismissed.

3) It would show other managers that our owner is capable of a modicum of patience.

What's done is done and I don't really see any purpose in firing Rafa now either. Just make sure he isn't back next year. (99.9% sure he won't be).

Under DiM Chelsea key players were overused. Therefore, a very tired team inherited by Rafa.

It would be really stupid to replace him , he's been known for his control over the players . Which he clearly couldn't do so in this interim Period , that kinda explains why he hasn't taken any bold steps so far . I would love to see him as our permanent manager , then i'd decide if he worths it or not .
