We were very defensive against Juve. But they were very good and simply destroyed us haha, with a bit of luck as well. City were poor.

I just remembered we were defensive that game, the game I was thinking of was Shakhtar.

Post-match press conference, I suppose. Got those quotes from Chelsea's official twitter account.

Hmm well I didn't hear that and I suspect many others watching SkySports didn't either?

Could be a stitch up attempt - as honestly he didn't say that...

Hmm I still think its useful to keep experience around the dressing room, training pitch and the actual game.

Utd have shown how it should be done with Giggs and Scholes, why shouldn't we do it too?

As for AVB never wanted him...

united is shit.. how they are still competing i still can't understand....the team aside from rvp and rooney is a joke.

Mikel and Ramires did a fantastic job in front of the back four. However, playing this type of formation comes at a cost, which was any creativity we had going forward.

Also, the fact that Mata and Hazard were subpar today didn't help us much.

The big difference in this game is that our forwards dropped much deeper. If you want to compare our positioning versus the WBA game, everyone was much deeper. I have no idea why Romeu was brought in, when he came in, he was basically used as another central defender. We were level 0-0, not sure why we wouldn't try to go for a win. We played very negative football, with one scoring chance against a team that has a lot of defensive problems and played pretty poorly. Also upsetting because it's the same thing that happened before. Roman demands attacking football so sacks the manager who can't bring it and then replaces him with a manager who employs a defensive style. RDM could easily have managed a team that played like this, he managed a fantastic defensive squad last year, but Roman wanted a more attacking game.

yes we would have lost to juve. our defence looked so good today because the city attacking was that shit. juve played a brilliant game and moreover they were also lucky. the first 2 goals, hazard and mata's chances, everythin went against us. it was a bad day. and do u actually think we were more defensive today than against juve?

I take it back, was talking about the wrong game :P

It's because Sir Alex is a miracle worker, his team is just a squad team what have mentallity to come back and win games. And if they play completely shit the referee will intervine and give them the upperhand.

Lol already been bollocked once today for being rude...

So nice try dude :) but I ain't biting...

Utd are consistent 1st or 2nd place team over a number of years...

Of course they are shit, what was I thinking...

If you don't understand experience, I guess you've never been in a situation where it's been needed!!!

Experience = invaluable, that's why it's called experience...

Try reading...

LIKELY is the word I used...

I didn't say we would have Definitely lost...

FFS - read what you want to see, just to prove a useless insignificant point. RDM is fucking gone and good riddance... (Harsh but this RDM love is fucking annoying now)

YOU are also becoming annoying ,,,no need to keep repeating ,,,,weve heard it all these last few days

On the bright side, we were solid in the back and managed to contain City's offense. On the other hand, there was pretty much nothing going forward. We were much too narrow and congested in midfield. I think we need to have a more creative midfielder in place of Mikel (and have Ramires take up that role) in order for us to create more chances going forward.

...& his name is Frank.
