The team was the same because that is our best 11. As for tactics I expected him to be more defensive than RDM has been lately, do you think we would have lost to Juve had we played like this?

yes we would have lost to juve. our defence looked so good today because the city attacking was that shit. juve played a brilliant game and moreover they were also lucky. the first 2 goals, hazard and mata's chances, everythin went against us. it was a bad day. and do u actually think we were more defensive today than against juve?

On the bright side, we were solid in the back and managed to contain City's offense. On the other hand, there was pretty much nothing going forward. We were much too narrow and congested in midfield. I think we need to have a more creative midfielder in place of Mikel (and have Ramires take up that role) in order for us to create more chances going forward.

Benitez: "Torres was trying very hard, he had a good chance, but the team has to create chances for him to score goals. The team has to

help Fernando. All of us have to help Fernando."

FFS is he for real? Haven't we been down this 'lack of service' road before? Torres is a shadow of the player he was when he last played under Benitez and that's a fact. His legs are gone and even with the confidence level he had at Liverpool he wouldn't be anywhere near the player he was before. Today he was in a good position numerous times but he was so slow that City's defense caught him with ease every time. A few years ago Torres would have flown past them and scored but he's not the same man anymore and the sooner Benitez realizes that the better.

Augero, Dzeko and Silva - then Tevez

They're not rubbish, our fans wanted Dzeko

I see that as a defensive victory, rather than City being shit :)

But I would :)

I know my comment was stupid.

That day will come soon and I will have to respect it - regardless of whether I like it.

Lamps and Cole could be on their way out - for me that's shocking... But if that's the way the club want to play it then fine - whether it's a mistake or not, we will see...

the way the club is run? i laugh at you, before drogba left everyone was complaining about 30 plus years on contracts, will i can tell you im happy the way club is doing it, a one year contract is enough for 30 year old, time is changing, be happy our owner is the fan of our club also, we could be in deep shit right know if avb wasnt gone

FIRST clean sheet in 11 games in all competitions. Last clean sheet was back in 2nd October - 4-0 win over Nordsjaelland. Unlike under RDM, today we focus more on keeping the shape & defend together as a unit than being gung-ho. Attack suffered as a result. Only the first game under Benitez but it worked today. Will take time for him to find the right balance. Tough run of games over. Now, Fulham(H), West Ham(A), Nordsjaelland(H) and Sunderland(A) are our next 4 games before the CWC. Would expect Benitez to be less defensive now in those games and be a bit more offensive than today. Overall, happy to take the point. Looked poor going forward but solid defensively for once and got that clean sheet. Best to just move on. Fulham on Wednesday to come.

Hmm I still think its useful to keep experience around the dressing room, training pitch and the actual game.

Utd have shown how it should be done with Giggs and Scholes, why shouldn't we do it too?

As for AVB never wanted him...

Of course but for now we're stuck with him at least until January and Benitez must know he can't expect Torres to suddenly be the player he was before. Sooner or later it will hurt the team spirit if he keeps saying things like that and puts the blame on anyone but the ladyboy himself.

In the Sky interview he didn't say anything of the sort? He said he wouldn't mention individual players?

Where's this interview from?

Post-match press conference, I suppose. Got those quotes from Chelsea's official twitter account.
