Anyhow this was a different episode then the normal GoT. It was the action type of lord of the rings.

Martin must like the Two Towers & wrote that battle scene patterned on Helm's Deep. I guess that is ok, because Helm's Deep is the standard of withstanding a siege. Unfortunately for The Night's Watch, Gandalf didn't show up in the Morning with the Riders of Rohan to save them. They will have to withhold longer with supplies dwindling.

Well Stannis looked into the Flame & saw himself in a Battle in the Snow. I believe it was Season 2 before The Red Priestess gave birth to the Shadow Assassin.

he does not come to the wall on the first attack.

now that guy will declare what the thing he has in his possession. it is in that moment that He enters the foray!!!! so i dont think they have deviated much from the book!!! infact the only difference from the book is that jon was forced into an assisination attempt on mance by thorne and slynt wheras in this one he is doing it willingly!!!
