Let's compare the form of the strikers who'll be lining up for each time.

Oh.

Actually let's not. It's depressing.

Under RDM torres has a goal every other game. What's Suarez strike rate over the last 6 months?

Edit - Scrub that just seen his stats. Despite piasing away a bucketload of chances he still manages to pop up with a bunch of goals. It is rather depressing.

ha but we won the only two important ones, lamps cliniching the title back in 2010 at anfield and Drogs giving us the FA cup.

That's it. Had a random look at their team sheet, did not know one single name. They played with a guy called morrow as striker. Don't know why Rodgers wants our head. Liverpool lost against West Brom and other but they always turn up against us it is such a disgrace we are always in a situation where we can't counter that cos our players arent't fresh or whatever.

+ we can forget Torres even more in that match

hence i'd go for

-----------Cech---------

Iva---Cahill--Terry--Bertrand

--------Mikel--Rambo-------

-Moses----Mata ----Hazard

-------------Sturridge--------

sub on oscar, torres and maybe marin later.

Not sure we can win this. Maybe when we score first and can counter them.

I'd go along with that line up. I don't fear Loserpool as much as some do on here. They are a distinctly average team which are under going some major reform in style and personal. In fact I fear nobody when we are playing at home.

I'll go for a 3-1 home win, come on the Chels.

Hope Azpilicueta gets a game here. He has got good speed and can deal with Sterling's pace much better than Ivan would I think. Maybe Ivanovic can play CB again? He was very good there vs Swansea.

We should have too much quality for them. Hopefully we match them for work-rate and the quality will show itself.

2-0 Chelsea

Can't believe they have done the double over us for the last 2 seasons. I am very expectant of a victory on sunday though, I think our attack will be too strong for their defence. Although I am not Torres biggest fan have a strong feeling he will score on sunday. If we can contain Suarez and Sterling, I believe we he will win the game comfortably. As good as Suarez is, I don't recall him ever scoring against us, hopefully that continues. I am predicting the score to be 3-1, with Hazard being the key performer!

Will we press them or sit back. Point is if we sit back and let them have the ball they will get chances to pick out the runs of Suarez, Sterling and Assidi/Suso, we must press them as high up as possible so they make mistakes. Hope Robbie thinks the same and goes for pressing them high up. I mean look what Swansea did to us with their pressing in the game last weekend and again what Swansea did at Anfield in the Capital One Cup. We do that and they're bound to concede possession and we have players more than capable of doing that and then producing magic with the ball. We have to press them, they aren't Spain or Barca but they are a good side with the ball, everyone must work hard and disrupt their rhythm and then take chances we create as we were a bit toothless in the games vs Shaktar and Swansea. We will have to keep the ball very well too as they will press us high up too.

Some news ahead of this game from RDM:

Chelsea FC@chelseafc

RDM: "JT is available for Sunday and in a good position to be involved. Sunday is probably too soon for Ashley Cole."

RDM: "JT is a fantastic player, a great defender who brings a lot of quality to the team, I'm very pleased his ban is over."

RDM: "David Luiz has played more than the others but I've been trying to rotate to keep the team as fresh as possible."

RDM: "All 11 players are responsible for the defensive organisation, we know we need to improve but other teams are not that far away."

RDM: "Ryan Bertrand is a great, young player. He'll be a better player for his experience on Wednesday night."

RDM: "I'm happy Daniel Sturridge is with us, he's been playing a bit more lately and will get some more game time."

RDM: "I'm happy with the contribution of Fernando Torres, I hope every player feel they have the confidence of the manager."

Mark Lawrenson predicts Chelsea to beat Liverpool on Sunday. He has already predicted 8 of our 9 matches correctly this season! The only one Lawrenson got wrong was the Arsenal game at the Emirates. He predicted an Arsenal win but we won it instead.

Some news ahead of this game from RDM:

Luiz should have been rested against Shaktar then.

Suarez is from Uruguay and VERY South American in the way he moves and dribles (using body rather than just feet). Well, Luiz is also from South America, is used to the style, and actually practices with the likes of Neymar on every Brazil call up.

So, I'd like very much to see Luiz against Suares, especially if Chelsea are going to press and push higher up on the pitch, because both JT and Chill lack pace.

If the back line is indeed Ivanovic, Cahill, JT, and Bertrand, (it could be a ruse, but RDM hinted Luiz will be rested) I just hope RDM does not go for a high defense line. All Suarez does is move behind defenders... he's very quick and the only player with any speed in our defense would be Bertrand. Once again, it all depends on mechanics, but although liverpool aren't very good right now, they do have lots pace in a number of players.
