BlueLyon 9,359
Dont see why people criticize this team so much. Luiz, Cahill, Bertrand and Torres underperformed, yes, but still its not that bad to gtfo from the club, as some said.Only Torres was truly shit from my opinion, his decision making is so fucking bad. Our defence is criticized lot, but take note that Shakhtar did realy wonderful job and Wilian, Srna and Fernandinho were great. I believe that any Fullback would have problems stoping the trio. And Bertrand was alone, Hazard didnt contribute in defense much, so there is the result...Luiz should stop going forward, other than that he did decent. Cahill should mark better too. We won, stop being negative and think of Moses before yoy go to bed
Kezza 1,965
Can't call Bertrand shit. He had a lot to contend with. They new he would of been our weak link and they capitalized on it.Would you rather go up against Iva or Ryan? He had an off game, but you can't expect a text book performance from everyone every single game. Those two sweaty goal pissed me off. Fooled us twice. We stopped there massive winning streak, that in itself is a great feat. Maybe they will crumble after this and we take top spot.
themightyblue 443
Have to say, just looked at the Match Thread and I know its easy to say in hindsight, but found some of the comments on the thread an absolute joke. Emotion do run high, but its better to just think before typing rather than saying something idiotic. From 60 minutes onwards we dominated. A draw was maybe a fair result, but we fought right till the very end and so for that the team deserves credit. Onward to Liverscum!
Muzchap 8,966
Ok here's my take on tonight. We were playing a VERY good, if not excellent team.We fought hard, I hope our team ends up gelling like Shakthar! They've been rebuilding over a number years and look an awesome well balanced team - I can't see many teams beating them!!!So Luiz really needs to work on positioning and distribution. I hate to agree with Tony Gale, but he was spot on when he said, Luiz needs to play as a team, not an individual..Torres actually looked a little useful up-front, but compare him to RvP and he still has a long way to go.Ramires was awesome along with Iva.RDM needs to teach people to mark in the box and watch late runners - we were awful twice to cutbacks resulting in goals - this is not rocket science to defend against, we need to work on our out of possession shape.Apart from that great game and Oscar was outstanding - we could have an amazing team in a few years!!!Yes we got lucky, but as the saying goes 'harder I work, luckier I get'The lads put a real shift in and deserve the creditLets go into the weekend and smash those spouse cunts 5-0... TheCount 146
Bertrand definitely isn't ready to play against the bigger teams. He looked out of his depth at LB...hopefully we give Cole a new contract.I really dont understand this? people's understanding of the game is laughable,He played badly because he had no help from hazard tracking back for huge sections of the game. simple. Beepu 1,714
totally agree. didn't get behind the team at all, why bloody come and not SING?! gets on my nerves ffsActually, this is what is sadly I realised when i watch home games. You can hear singing and chants but its not dominant I dont know why, ive never been there. But if you watch games in old trafford or anfield or even swansea at the libery stadium last weekend, its loud most of the time with singing and chanting from home fans. Another thing i realised, whenever i watch a game of other european teams that is not english, I always hear loud drums and trumpets especially in German stadiums, are those things not allowed in england?? it really brings a strong atmosphere to the match and stadium

kellzfresh 7,229
We played much better in the 2nd half. Shaktar are a good team, they can beat anyone in the premier league on their day. We actually crossed a lot more in this game and this mixed up our attack, makin it a little unpredictable. Instead of only going through the middle. How I wish we could learn to put in low crosses like them. And oscar makin late lampard runs to score.Torres had only one shot, poor.Luiz, I was scared anytime he was near the ball or touched the ball. There is something I noticed, the team prefers to play one twos with only mata, but when oscar passes and makes the run, he rarely gets the return pass. I think we should be more fluid with everyone and not just mata.
mnmontero 78
Yeah or we can sign Marcelo Yeah! OR or we can actually not be like Manchester City or we can be like any other team in the world and stop buying players compulsively and start promoting our young players, but of course like 1/4th of our fanbase would leave to support any other top team.Support your players mate, that's the problem with a lot of Chelsea fans, they think Chelsea players are like toys "Oh look a player is under performing for one game, CAN'T WAIT 'TIL JANUARY TO BUY X PLAYER" (obviously the best in his position at the moment). Our players should not be seen as something that can be easily replaced, do you know how hard did Bertrand had to break his ass to get where he is today? He deserves the opportunity he's having, maybe he's not the best at the moment but he is at least learning and he has a great attitude.
teignman 441
He played badly because he had no help from hazard tracking bad for huge sections of the game. simple.Amen. Lots of 2 vs. 1 on that flank. Bertie would drift in toward goal, like he should, in those situations. It left Srna with a lot of freedom. I still don't think Bertie had a good game, but I don't think he deserves some of the criticism he's getting.
Leif 6,006
Willian has improved an awful lot since last season. He's a lot more decisive and less selfish. Wouldn't mind him in the squad now!I love Moses though on another note. Just love him. He already seems really passionate about wearing our badge. TorontoChelsea 4,064
Great game and great win. We were excellent in attack and poor defensively. Bertrand had an off game obviously. I want Luiz benched. Not because I think he's useless, but because I think someone needs to get through to him and talking doesn't seem to be working. He's getting paid like a world-class defender and he is playing like a kid in a playground right now. He is capable of playing conservatively, but he just isn't right now. I don't know what else would work.

And Oscar attempts a few runs every game, but rarely does he receive the ball back.

This is what's incredibly annoying about too many (especially newer) Chelsea fans. It's not possible for a player to have even one bad game without the "we need to go buy this player" coming as a response. Players have bad games. Bertrand might not be the answer, but that will not be determined on the merit of one poor performance.
Leif 6,006
There's so many players in that Shakhtar team that I'd welcome with open arms; mainly Srna.I doubt he'll ever leave, but he would be an incredible addition.
