Doesn't play regularly for Betis anymore. How can he be ready for Chelsea? Anyway, unfortunately for Gus, he got sacked so maybe Musonda can get some more game time.

Another overrated youth product IMO. Will never make it here.

Have we? Sounds like a change in management at Betis has hampered him, that's beyond our control.

Yes we have. It's our fault, as in our club's fault, that they poorly evaluated where/when to send him out. That is not beyond our control, I'm afraid. He wasn't getting a sniff before or after any change in management. The board failed, again, with it's loan strategy.

I think he means, Before Poyet took over, Musonda was playing regularly. After Poyet got kicked out, the other guy just continued with the trend as most managers do. Select the same players the previous managers were selecting. Coupled with injuries, its been a difficult season for young Charlie.

IMO its rather bad luck than the Club´s fault.

He is 20 years old. How on earth is he ruined? He had one loan spell, he showed that he is good enough for LaLiga, he had some outstanding matches. Now it looks like we shouldn't force Betis, we'll find another team for him, he will shine there.

The board failed again with it's loan strategy? Name a few players that played poorly at loan spells then became world class players when we sold them? Real talents prove themselves, no matter what. Christensen, Lukaku, De Bruyne or Courtois made an instant impact out on loan. I don't think it's our loan systems failure that McEachran, Di Santo, Van Aanholt or Kakuta couldn't reach the top level.

Not true. He wasn't starting at the end of last season either.

As often happens with new/young players, Charly drew more praise for his early performances with Bettis than his contribution really deserved. As his loan spell went on, more realistic assessments were made and Charlie found himself on the bench.

We take talented prospects, and in their most important young years, we essentially ensure they get 0 time on the pitch, whether that's here (RLC) or with a mediocre club abroad. That is ruining a player. If he'd been at Arsenal, United, or City, he'd already be worth 40m+, warranted or not.

It doesn't work like this, I am sure that you would complain about results if players like Piazon, McEachran and Kakuta would play for us just because they were tagged as talented players. Every young kid with some skills is marked as talented player or "next Messi/Ronaldo/ nowadays but only few really develop into worldclass quality.

If you can't make it in 2nd division or in midtable club than you don't have what it takes to succed in Chelsea. Simple as that. Look at De Bruyne, Lukaku and Courtois or something like Baker, Traore, Christiansen, Abraham, Ake and Baba are doing this season.

Bamford (Crystal Palace, Norwich, Burnley) - 17 games, 0 goals - almost two seasons
Gael Kakuta (Two seasons in Vitesse) - 34 games, 2 goals - compare it to Baker or Traore

Is it really our fault?

I am sure that Musonda will get his shot to prove himself ;) Than we will see if he is worth it ... flashy skills doesn't make you a superstar player ;) Jeremie Boga is 1 year younger than him and he is making a pretty good impact at better side in La liga :)

Are you talking about Manchester United that let Pogba go for free and bought back for 120 million? Also, do you really think City treats their young players that well? Interesting..

We give young players a chance. We sign them, they can train in an outsanding training centre with the best coaches in the world among the best young players in the world. When they reach the age of 18-19, we find them loan clubs to introduce them to pro footbal. From now on, it's up to them. Of course not every loan spell works out, but like I said, real talents like KDB, Christensen, Lukaku and Thibaut will prove if they good enough or not.
